Have 3 ww and 1 BCM seeds in water for the last 48 hrs and still no sign of taproot. Should I leave them/ crack the shell or go ahead and plant in soil.

Please advise

You left the seeds wrapped in something to absorb the water, right? They aren't just "submerged"?

leaves them in a ziplock baggie in a wet water towel. dont mess with the seeds leaves them be. when the sprouts are large enough you put them in pot.

I have read several methods on How to Germ and I chose to Place in a cermic mug in water. Over half of the seeds broke and start of taproot , I then placed then in soil to finish rooting. But others are not showing taproot. So I have placed them in the Paper towel Method

What are the chances off these seeds making the cut?:cry:

When ya put the seeds in a cup of water ya leave them in for only 24 hrs or less. Thats to soak the seed with water and that gives the plant the signal to grow. DONT WAIT FOR A TAP ROOT! IF YA WAIT THAT LONG YA WILL DROWN THE SEED! SOAK FOR 24HRS AND PLANT.

I supposedly bought 'high quality' seeds and as soon as i put two of them in the sank to the bottom, didn't even float for a second. Are they bad?

Well I might have F***** those seeds then. Here is my take on it
Put in water-6ww and 6 BCM, for 36 hr- saw taproot on 3ww and 2 BCM and placed in soil. So 3ww and 3 BCM left for 48 Hr and another taproot on 1 BCM, sat it in soil.
Remaining seeds in paper method now.

How long should I wait for them to break ground? If they ever well.:cry::cry:

when you do the paper towel method if you kept them inbetween to paper plants would that make a big difference because like a ceramic plant wouldn't let water evaporate?

Well guys its looking good.

The seed that I had taken and put in Paper towel have started a taproot. in just 18hrs I have 2WW and 4BCM . Holding my breath on the others.

Seed that I had soaked in water for 30hr and planted have begin to break the soil surface.

Damm I'm getting anxious.:hump::hump::hump:

fail proof for me is ziplock with 2 sheets of paper towel, moist them, throw em in the furnace room in winter or put a box over them and put them somewhere warm in sumer time

i just used a bowl, places seeds in a moist paper towel inside the bowl, put a plate on top of the bowl and threw a heating pad below it, and in 48 hours i had a huge tap root (4")
