do you need to put it in some kind of jiffies, or is it alright if i put it right in the pro mix i have.

I think people prefer stuff like rockwool cubes because its a bit easier to manage, and people probably have better luck because they are designed to hold proper amounts of moisture, but straight to soil is an acceptable and normal practice.

Grower's preference but you can put them right in the soil.
