Man i dont get it, done this a million times and failing this time? Guess all my seeds went bad... Been storing them in a dark, cool filing cabinet , untouched and unseen for years. Saved em overtime from those strains you get like 1 seed out of 28g's. Fml.
I don't want to have to buy 5 seeds for 100 bucks

Did paper towel method, warmish/cool water , 6.2 PH watered daily for 7 days:cry:

Honestly I don't even bother with the paper towel blah blah stuff. I just put a seed directly into a hydrated jiffy pellet and they all pop, usually within 2-5 days.

Putting in a glass of water might help a bit with older seeds, but I still think the whole paper towel thing is just introducing another source of potential error/problems.

Agreed. I do 24 hrs of water. Then straight to a solo cup. Have the same germinating rate as everyone else I just dont have to damage tap roots during a transfer.

Best warming mat you can buy also is an old VCR, DVD player, or in my case PS4 that I don't play. They provide just enough heat when it's on a plate so that the medium doesn't get cold but it doesn't get so warm as to dry out too fast.
I'm just keeping mine in my tent at 80 degrees. Simple mindless effective.

Just gotta keep them moist.

I agree i hate transferring out of the paper towel cause sometimes the taproot starts binding to it . ill prolly just have to break down and find a seed bank somewhere. Gonna try this hydrated jiffy pellot too next time. Is it sad that i was hoping some of my babies would have seeds lol. Next time they are going in a dark container in the fridge! Thanks for the advice.

Toss the darker brown seeds in a nursery pot 1cm deep and mist with water twice a day. Keep it under light. Give them 3-4 days. If they don't pop, chuck em.

How did you have the seeds packaged? They should be stored in airtight containers.

You can get good genetics for much less than $100 for 5 seeds.

The top of my T5 fixture is my heat mat when I need one.

I had to veg my few plants for 2-3 mon , had a lot of issues along the way too. This my first grow im on so, its been a lot of information to process , but I've loved every second of it. Aint nothing like learning something new, especially when you're creating big beautiful buds!! Happy smoking y'all :bigjoint: End of week 7 on Monday 23rd
