Germinating from Frozen..... Anyone done it?

High guys, had 14 seeds in my freezer for about 2 years. Fuck know why I put them in there?! Must of been high. Guess I wanted them to last a while before I could grow again but anyway...

tried germinating 2 feminized Cole Trains, but only 1 germinated after about 5 days in warm wet paper towel. I'm just trying another 2 from the freezer but feminized Afghan x Yumbolt.

Has anyone done this before? I'm half expecting them to grow all spasticated.

In contrast all of my 25 fresh ones that I got yesterday have germinated in about 18 hours.

i dunno... it makes sense that they would still be alive. after all the whole point of the seeds is for the species to survive winter

but cannabis is a relatively tropical plant so it might not be prepared for absolute freezing temperatures

like the other poster said, just drop them in some water and wait. let us know

Hey Scop,I just went thru the same thing only different seeds.Mine have been in the freezer for over 2 years now and so everyone that I have tried to germ made it.I read in a book many many years ago that fresh seed should be frozen for at least 6 weeks, that would help it germ better because the seeds will think its spring and they should grow. That advice has helped me more then once. They should be fine.If they dont germ then it was not meant to be.
The seed must warm up to a temp where it can sustain its life force before it will germ anyways. So the problem shouldnt worry you.
I have a sharksbreath and a snow white going now and both had been in the freezer over 18 months minimum.
Peace and Happy growing
