Germinating Questions... I've read the FAQ

Alright, so I am pretty much an absolute novice to the whole growing scene, and have a question or two on germinating seeds. I have a bunch of bag seeds, and I read the FAQ to see how to do it, but it had mentioned using two plates. I was wondering if it would be fine to cover the seeds in a moist paper towel, and place the paper towel on a plate, and covered it with seran wrap, keeping the plate in a warm place. Is that about it?

I like to make sure mine are in a light tight and air tight container also. And something that won't break just in case it falls cause stuff happens.

It really doesn't matter, you'll be surprised how easy the seeds germinate. Don't overcomplicate.

Haha, well putting them with some wet paper towel wont be hard, and putting that into a ziploc glad ware thing. I think it's pretty simple, and like it would work.

I used the bowl over plate technique, worked for me like cake. 100% germ on some shwag bagseeds... too easy.

The reason for the zip lock bag is if you forget about them they won't dry out. I learned that the hard way. LOL

Lol, that would suck. You said that I need to keep them in the dark, is that because light kills the seeds?
