Germination and it's 4 inches (10cm) already!!

Hi there,

I'm not worried, just curious here. I've got a healthy plant that two days after the cotyledons opened the plant is 4 inches (10cm) tall!! that's some crazy height.

All the plants I've grown this year (quite a few) they were between 1.2 and 2.3 inches (3-6cm) tall after 5 days. So this one definitely got my attention.

So does anybody know why could this be ? is it normal ? healthy ?

I've this one under a 22W CLF 24/0 and it's the first time I use 24/0 which I thought could be the reason but I've got another seed beside it and it's about 1 inch tall. The difference is brutal.

Marijuana has a knack for growing fast and vigorously. Don't be shocked. Just wait until you invest in some HID lighting. You'll really scoot in your boots.

just keep the cfl close so it doesnt stretch anymore. ive seen some pics on RUI where i thought seedlings were way stretched and they turned out pretty good. you'll probably have to support it for awhile until its stong enough to hold its own. keeping that cfl within 3in. is key for keeping stretch to a minimum....good luck!

That's what I'm doing, keeping it close to the light and hopping it doesn't stretch anymore even if it doesn't seem like that.
Will keep the support tip in mind.

It may have no sense but I was thinking that maybe is because is a sativa strain.
I'll check it tomorrow anyway and see if it's still stretching.
