Germination (Tissue Method vs Water Method

so i have about 50-100 old ass bagseeds ive been collecting over the years and i put 20 or 30 into germination using the tissue method about 2 or 3 weeks ago and ended up with only 3 sprouting (1 died and i have 2 plants now) wow. what a fucking success. so im thinking i might try the other method which i havent used before which would be dropping them in a cup of water and just waiting for them to sprout taproots, any suggestions or feedback from someone who has tried both methods?

1. The Tissue Method

What you need: two small Plates or trivets

Some kitchen or toilet Paper

Fold some of the Kitchen Paper, so that you will get a Stack of Tissue in the Size of your Trivet or Plate, the Stack should be 3-4 Layers thick. Wet the Tissue, put one stack of Tissue on each Plate.

Then Put your Marijuana Seeds onto the wet Tissue. Finally Place your Seeds onto the Wet Tissue and put the Plates on top of eacht other, so that the Marijuana Seeds are enclosed by Kitchen Paper.

Check whether the Seeds are Germinating every day, if the white Root that comes out of the seed is about an half Inch long, the Seeds are ready to be planted. Don’t forget to water the Tissue if necessary, but it shouldn’t be too wet, just really humid.

2. The Water Method

This method is even simpler and will also make your Marijuana Seeds Germinate pretty well.

Just get a Flat Soup Bowl, put water in it, so that the water will stand 1-2 Inches High. Then just drop the Marijuana Seeds into the Water. They might take a little longer to germinate that way, but the method works just fine. Exchange the water if it becomes grayish or dirty.

Remember: Marijuana Seeds don’t any light at all to germinate, just put them into a dark corner of your room and they will be fine.

I use the water method. I fill a shot glass halfway with mineral water and let a seed float for about 24 hrs then check if it sunk and if not i touch it and then it should. From there strait into the moist soil and under light with humidity, and usually get sprouts in 2-3 days but has taken upwards to 7 days before. Works quite well for myself.
