gettin started an need a lil help

i am goin to be growin indoors usein a areoflow2 model 30 i have plenty of room an i found one for a price that cant be beat, but my question is for the size grower yhat im goin to be useing what size light should i use i have been look at a "adjust-a-wing" light system to be able to get the most light on the plants but i dont no if this is the right one or should i be lookin at something like a "sun system" an what watts should i be usein

they both seem good but i like first one if ur on a budget but if u just buy the bulb and get some sheet metal its mch more cheaply made i will give u a link so that u can make a good light system very similar

Consider one thing first and foremost with your hood, does it need to be air cooled? That will point you in the right direction of a hood. There are growers who swear by about every hood out there, but very few have ever run any sort of side by side comparison. Adjust-a-wing do something few other hoods do, they have the ability to adjust, therefore can be customized to fit your area. A light spreader is also a good idea with many hoods.

thanks yall for the help what watts should i use an i have herd that u cant use mh an hps bulbs in the same setup is this true or can i get one w a mh bulb an just switch it out w the hps when its time to flower

if i were you heres what i would do: i would go to walmart and buy a bunch of cfls. (42 watts) then i germinate some bagseed to go into the set up. then i would go to google and read. you got a lot to learn. like what kind of lights to use or how often do i drain the reservoir and fill it back up with fresh water? like all these questions you are going to come across are quick fixes. but everyone here has read at least a little to get them on track. marijuana is called weed cuz its a weed. its easy to grow so i hope you grow some bangin shit. but ya just gotta read some. sorry if i sound like a dick. this white rhino got me toasted and i know what i wrote sounds harsh or somethin but i dont feel like deleting it all and retyping it. good luck
p.s. cfls are your cheapest route and hardly any heat signature.

Expensive up front, but wait until you've pulled your 4th 1000w harvest before complaining about the price. Pays for itself 10x over.

As far as wattage let your wallet determine that, the bigger the light the more cooling you will need. Look at the pictures of the people who are recommending the lights, one of them just doesn't match the rest, so keep that in mind. Me and Snow Crash obviously run 1000 watts, look at the results. My pic is not my biggest plant, actually far from it, just one of my fav pics.
They do make switchable ballasts that all you have to do is take out the mh bulb and put in the hps, others with a physical switch also. I use a switchable ballast but i rarely run the MH. I veg under a t5 and then flower under a single 1000 watt. I can provided some links to cheaper 1000 watts, but remember your gonna need a big (cooling) fan too.
