Getting connections?

just like drugs, guns are easiest obtained through the black market... They're actually pretty easy to find if you're looking.... Have your character just kinda fall in with a shady gun runner while trying to score some smoke, or fucking a hooker or something.... be creative

You don't have other criminals ? I've heard of a thing called a "throw away" gun,criminals obtain them and then drill or file off the serial numbers so they can't be traced.If he got a record as a young adult, wouldn't he maybe have some friends from that time who might still be in the "lifestyle"?

Yes. Go to gun show. Find the guy loitering near one of those big utility vans [though it really could be any vehicle]. Walk next to him in the parking lot while you are smoking a cigarette, flash a wad of cash at him discreetly. If he's the guy you're looking for, he will invite you over and show you his [under the table] guns for sale.

Could hit up Toronto and setup trap until he gets a good connect. Although the two things he doesn't want to do is break into houses/cars to steal them, and he doesn't want to have to sell dope in order to get connections. I live in canada and it really isnt that hard to get guns, pistols are illegal but you can apply for a permit if for example you live in the woods and might encounter a bear or somthing but heck, the pizza shop around the corner from me probally moves 5/10 guns a day.

Agree with Parker....Dad was a dealer and all sorts of shady deals go down at these trade shows. Be carefull though a bunch of thugs tried to trap him as he was leaving the parking lot. Bring cash not the bank..most of em are vulchers.

Yes theres a loophole or something in the law for gun shows making it so you can sell firearms to people but if a cop see's you all he has to do is stop you and see you have no permit and your fucked but do not flash no money at anybody.Or I read on one of your threads that you said the only drug you can really get is crack I guarantee you one of them guys has a gun for your book character.
