It's latin. The text is over 5 centuries old. It's used in printing and typesetting, and now graphic/web design because the text appears to be actual words. You don't get the same effect when you make a paragraph that is all AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA's.
