Getting pissed off

I have found the free CMH readings almost identical to white LEDs.

More advanced Apps and phones will put a world of sensors and even sophisticated scientific instruments increasingly at our fingertips.

I think there's better apps for use with Android phones.

For iPhone it's great and you don't have to mess with the calibration settings. The app is free, then you DO need to buy the profile for the type of light you're using. From there, it's pretty bulletproof if you're using a phone with good camera sensor hardware.

That said, 490umol is way too much light for a newly sprouted seedling. You're giving it over 30DLI and it really wants something closer to 12 at that point.

Consider the stuff on the chart that says 'clone' as your week or so of germination/young seedling.

Use the app in tandem with the calculator on the Photone website. It allows you to see not only if you're over/under but what changes in light-time and brightness may do.
