You can probably relax. The guy probably got out of work and lit one up laughing about what he just saw.
In college, I ran a business an hour from my school. I got a call from my landloard, saying they knew I was out of town, and needed to show my aprartment. They said they hoped I didn't mind.
I had 20 beautiful Mikado 3/4 of the way finished. That landloard and his guest my have crapped their pants when they saw that! I was so freaked out, I drove straight there, loaded up everything I owned in a couple of trucks of mine and my buddies, dropped off a check for the last few months of rent, and never went back.
The good news is I never heard back from them. They did sue me for an additional months rent for not putting into writing I was moving out. Money well spent as far as I'm concerned. I'm thinking they found that stuff in the evening, with no time to get a judge to give a warrent. I was out like a light baby. closest call ever. Plus, I moved in with my girlfriend 50 miles away, and we're now married with 2 beautiful daughters. Never know how life will turn out.
