GH 3 PART feed schedule HELP

I just started using GH 3 part for my new flood tray. Can anyone provide me with a feeding schedule for these nutes. I used the recommending dosage and the water is still straight clear and sitting at 250ppm.

My clones just came out of the tray busting with roots.

I dont understand/like the GH nute calculator on their site. IT seems to get me to an inadequate ppm levl

Does an even part of all three sound good until i reach about 400ppm?

say 150ml each?

cool. thats interesting stuff.

I am still wondering about the ppm issue. I fi am using the recommended dosage and getting 250ppm is that ok? I feel new clones should be getting around 400 mebe 500?

I have always used how many mL of nutrients x gallons of water your res will hold and I have never seen any problems. but i've never tested the ppm befoer either. tell us more about your set up. photos would be nice too.

Hey I'm a newbie but I did find some pretty useful info on GH nutes (and everything else) on this link. Scroll down to "Nutrient formulations", then you'll see "What are the best ratios for General Hydroponics 3-part?".

Here is another dudes link w/ his GH formulas:

ps-i've read a lot on here that GH nutes at full strength will nute burn your girls, I read that after I nute burned mine! That happened when I switched them to 12/12 and didn't ease them into the stronger strength nutes. Like I said I'm a newbie, lol.

Hope that helps! Good luck!

Check out these pics and tell me what u guys think.

Some appear to be begining to droop and some are gaining bits of yellow.

Flood for 3 min every 4 hours. Currently at equal parts of GH nutes at 500 ppm.

Stepping down to 400 today to increase o2 and reduce chances of burn.

Plants definitely appear worse than 3 days ago when transplanted. No growth...only struggle.

there is a slight difference in the level of the starter cubes. Really only 1 is drooping and it is getting more soaked than others.

I have had success in the past not worrying about saturation and just giving them larger dry times ie 4-6 hours.

more pics later when I can turn the light off for a minute.

Are you using R.O. or distilled water? Since I've started adding +200-250ppm of Cal-mag to 3 part GH, I've alleviated deficiency problems.

150ml each of the 3 part in my rez would put my ppm's at about ...7.3 trillion.

50ml of all 3 in my rez sets me about 1000 ppm. My rez is between 8-10 gallons

I would try flooding for 15min every 6hrs. It looks like you got plastic covering up the bottom of the tray so no light gets down there. You just want to check your roots before your second or later flood and see if the roots are still slightly damp. If they are wet they can probably wait a little more before being flooded again. If they are just damp then go ahead and flood. You just don't want them to dry up. I'm going with half dose of the GH Flora "Mild" dosage off the bottle. Check out the size of my plants. I'm about to step it up to full strength. They are finally recovering from a low humidity problem.

hell yeah noriega those r lookin aight. You will def need to cover that tray up a bit if your flood is 15 min long. U using h2o2? r u covering up those net pots wit pebbles whence the roots start popping out?

What kind of ballast is that in the bkground?

Some of mine are starting to work on new growth, yet taking their sweet time...probably stress from oversaturation. My flood level came up half way past the starter plugs previous to today.

i like this lucas formula idea. It is hilarious that floragro is absolutely worthless. However I am confused as to why this is a much more condensed version than I have previously seen. Is there some advanced version of the lucas formula method?

i'm tryin' the advanced nutrients line right now... the sensi grow/bloom and all the additives (err most of em)

they claim double the yield... we'll see - they're doing good ;-)

I've had very good luck with the GH 3-part. Try this combo per gallon:

1 ml Cal-Mag
1 ml FloraMicro
2 ml FloraGro
1 ml FloraBloom

Adjust Ph to 5.6

This should give you a ppm of around 600 @70% conversion. They should respond. Then increase the nutes in a ratio of 3 parts Gro to 2 parts Micro & 1 part Flora for vegging. For flowering use 1 part Gro to 2 parts Micro & 3 parts Flora.

I have records of my feeding schedule if you are interested.
