GH Flora Schedule

New Hydro grower here. I'm running 2 x 5Gallon DWC grows. I'm using GH Flora Schedule and switched over to 12/12 about 10 days ago.

Everything is growing well and am about to change the transition feed 4/4/4 (Micro/Grow/Bloom) ml per gallon to early bloom.

Been using nutecalc.com for my schedule...but early bloom has 1/1/5 which seems quite a drop down for the first two . I also found another calculator that has 2.5/1.25/2.5 ml per gallon for early bloom

So I'm confused. I know it's good to keep an eye on the plants and adjust , but to be honest I'm new and would like to get decent guidance from the start. Do I keep Micro up, drop Grow (which makes sense) and then bump up bloom....or drop the first two .

thanks in advance

Use the GH chart for Hydroponics/soilless.

My dad also uses GH trio, and he said he gets way better results by keeping the Gro in the mix, at low levels, almost all the way thru flower, rather than dropping it such as the Lucas formula. It's like 2-1-6 so it's not like it has a ton of nitrogen or anything.

Thanks. Although isn’t the weed ratio a little different ? I.e is the GH schedule more generic ?
Let's put it this way.. . ..

If YOU made nutrients, why would I listen to someone who ISN'T you, on how to use your nutrients?

Just follow the chart, trust us.

The latest GH feed charts use close to a 1:1:1 ratio rather than the older schedule.
Thx for the updated chart.

Quick question....

Say we add 4, 4, 4, of the G, M, B and the EC is 1.3.

Can we use less M so we can use more G or B and maintain the same 1.3 EC?

What is Micro for and what's the importance?

Thanxx.

Despite what many believe, cannabis doesn't have some special requirements over other plants. The same nutrient feed schedules for other plants work just fine. Grow it like a plant and it will thrive. Fiddle around trying to adjust X level of this for this week and X level of that for a different week can lead to nutrient issues which you'll find prevalent in the Marijuana Plant problems section. Cutting out nutrients like nitrogen in flower and adding excessive amounts of P/K like many do can cause nutrient antagonism and crispy fried dying leaves by harvest time. Which ends up compromising yield and quality.

Feeding balanced nutrients throughout the grow is best. I ran the GH trio for a long time and just followed the directions on the bottles. Healthy plants start to finish and never any yellowing dying leaves or nutrient issues.

Micro is just how it sounds, contains most of your micro nutrients along with nitrogen. Its a staple and cant just be replaced with grow or bloom.

Last Saturday the plants were switched to "mid bloom" on the new schedule.

The mix EC was 1.5. I had about 3 cups of runoff each and measured that EC at 5.7.

I use GH trio and just use the ratios on the bottle:

1:1:1 (M/G/B) for seedling/early veg
2:3:1 (M/G/B) for mid/late veg
1:1:1 (M/G/B) at flip
2:1:3 (M/G/B) when it throws its first pistils and to the end

Never any issues.

because of the obvious conflict of interest in profit incentive ya dipshit.
The incentive for profits would be to give the best recipe for success in gardening using their product.

One thing I hear a lot is that the recipes are intentionally given as too strong in the hopes people blow through nutrients quicker to increase sales. The recipes are given so that the NER (nutrient element ratio) is balanced easily and quickly, and then it is up to the grower to know what EC their crop needs and dilute it down with water to reach the proper EC for their crop. It even says this on the bottles.
