GH Flora Series in Soil

About a week ago I transferred my two 6 week old white widow plants from hydro into soil. They are doing really well and experienced no problems whatsoever. I haven't given them any nutrients in about 2 weeks, to prepare for the transfer and then didn't want to shock them as they adjusted to living in soil. I still have the GH Flora Series that I was using with my hydro set up. I know GH says that you can use their flora series in soil, but I am wondering how to go about this. Do I mix it into the water and then feed it to the plants, or what? I have found that the feed schedule that GH has on their website is very strong, so I cut it back a lot in my hydro set up. Any recommendations for a feed schedule in soil using the flora series?

you can flora in soil....ph'ed h20 flush now and then to break up build up.not good if goin organic.a fed healthy plant is better for a gentle transplant.

Your wasting your money using it in soil. Hydroponic nutrients leech to fast in soil. Roughly 50% of what you use in the soil will go past the root zone and as soon as you water the rest will go away as well. In order to use them in soil properly you need to add a lot of peat or coir to help absorb the nutrients so they stay near the root zone longer. Its better to use a slow release fertilizer in soil.

Thanks for the replies and info! Helped me make my decision on what to do with my flora series. Ordered some fox farms big bloom to go with the fox farms ocean forest that I transplanted them in to.

If using preferted soil,start 1/4 strength.My outdoor Hosta's are Garfieldion fat from my hydro runoff I give them.

do you know the pH of flora grow and flora mirconutrients? my pen just broke :/

Hmm this is new to me.. How do they get Hydro food to leech fast or Soil food to leech less?

I think you might have things backwards. Soil or mediums are responsible for cation exchange capacity not the nutrients themselves.

GH nutes work great in soil. I have used the Lucas formula with GH nutes for about 2 yrs now and get an avg of 19-22oz per 600hps (SoG method). I custom made my own pots to dry out quickly so I could do a nutes/water/nutes cycle through-out the grow. Never any salt build-up issues. Even ran a couple without leaching at the end and had minimal nute/harsh smoke. I'd still recommend the flush as the final product tastes amazing. Enjoy

how many plants per square foot and how big of a area? Those are nice yields. Strain? Just wondering because im veggin some moms now to try a 600w soil sog in a few months. Im goin to put a 3x3 tray in a 4x4 tent, 4 per sqft in a 3 week perpetual setup, 12 harvested every 3 weeks.

For the op: I use gh flora 3 part in soil and like the results. I add liquid and dry kool bloom (not together) in flowering. Ive never heard of hydro nutes leeching faster. Gh has a drain to waste schedule on there website so clearly there mot just for hydro use.
