I cant find where I read it now but it was stated specifically that the ca/mg+ is derived from calcium and magnesium carbonate and not from calcium nitrate.. But I am thinking I may need to switch it up for a grow or 2 just to see what/if anything changes... The only reason I really continue to use it on a regular basis is because I use RO water so I figure they are going to need it so I just run a tsp per gal... I'm starting to think maybe I need to go lower as far as a constant dosage instead of continuously going up.. Most all my other grows; granted I was using aerated tap... I rarely ran into this issue and I hardly ever busted out the cal/mag...
Something about the Go CaMg + (like how you see a film left on the pouring container or glass you mix it in) tells me it's consistency and availability to plants is questionable. I have always had to go upwards of 10 ML/Gal on the GO stuff, and if you wait too long it is not quickly broken down by the plants because they do not bounce back quickly from the CalMag deficiency .... Literally with the botanicare cal mag plus you see positive results the next day. I would keep adding at least 5 ml/gal proactively, because once that CaMg problem starts the GO stuff is gonna be playing catch up

botanicare calmag contains nitrates and go calmag contains carbonates. the carbonates in the go line are microorganism friendly and need time to be available to the plants. the nitrates in botanicare are immediately ready for the roots to uptake. thats why you see results with the botanicare right away. it will kill your micro beasties tho and i would highly recommend against using the botanicare if you are growing organics.

organics is a process, you are feeding your soil and in return your soil will feed your plants. you will not see next day results like when you douse your soil with salty chem nutes

I use Aurora Roots Organic, and Earth Juice. Veg and bloom with the Buddha and use Oregonism, and use EJ for additives.
Everything gets brewed into aerated activated tea. I'm happy with it.
Of course I use things from other manufacter's for silicon, humic, seaweed, etc
Never tried the other organics mentioned. Guess I should branch out.

  • GO full line 15ml of grow 5ml of bio marine 10ml of cal mag, 15ml of bloom 5ml bio marine 10ml cal mag in flower. Everything else check the feed chart online. Brick of GH coco and perlite at a 60/40 ratio with r/o water. Mix just before you feed, no need to ph anything ever, not even the flush water. I flush for about 10 days with a little run off in the saucers. Results are great, and my ph pen hasn't been used in a long time. I honestly believe the r/o water is a little over kill, and I could have just used a simple two stage filter. I also use a compost tea every two weeks, and discontinue the tea at about three weeks before harvest. The tea is not necessary but I do believe that it helps with flavor. Imho

You need to build your soil Eco system up for a higher yield. And yes bottled organics are organics, so just get over it. People always say GO doesn't make their buds taste as good compared to other organic lines.

Compost teas are utilized by A LOT of key players, in the cannabis world and horticultural qorld alike. And a lot of those dudes are growing TREES in short time periods. A compost tea revamps e living Eco system in your soil that's actually feeding your girls, you fed the microbes they break down and regulates available plant food sources, as well as ph, and pests/ disease. If you're really doi organics YOU FEED THE SOIL NOT THe PLANT!!

I found the GO stuff to be pretty greasey personally. And after I was done I just didnt bother going back. Everyone gases on e GH line saying its elementary and bullshit.. But then try their ORGANIC line.. Gimme a break.

Ive seen a lot of people use earth juice, especially e META K as a booster. But you know what? Search ROOTS ORGANIC and I think you'll find what you're looking for. :D
