im stoned on GG#4 got a cut thru the post with a broken stem but it managed to re root cos the donor had looked after the original, got a sample to smoke, then I bought the first oz in 7 years thought it was that good, its very stoney and intense but not a mood lifter mebbe but ive had some trippy thoughts and moments on it, looking forward to growing it after 5 years of exo livers psycho, all fukin amazing smokes but the GG4 is next level strong imo
I also need a change. I've had nothing but livers for quite a while my last run and this is Exo but it's not enough of a change for me. But it yields well and stinks so it's hard to change. I'm in NFT so I can't even put a single plant of a different strain in because that takes all my space.
No I haven't tried silica. Maybe I should but I've got a method that suits me and I've been sticking to it.
Saying that though I have just changed my boost to one called buddhas tree which seems pretty good so far. It hasn't burnt them and they are looking better than last time

im also using that bhuddha tree, the exo loves it brings out the smell and swells it well imo

I'm five weeks in now so I should start to see a difference soon. I was using liquid lead but the shop I use didn't have any and they recommended it.
I hope it does bring out something better than usual because NFT takes something out of it. It yields great but the bud certainly lacks something and it's not just me that's noticed it. The strength is good but the taste is definitely missing something

You have a knack for describing smells and tastes. I agree fully with the stinkier/ fouler one is stronger, but the one pheno does have a nicer taste. Very much like you described.
i think i have a good nose and taste buds but there just aren't enough describing words for a lot of the smells you get from mj. you got any dogs on the go at the minute?

Yea, the stinky one is definitely offensive to some, which is the pheno I have. (2010 cut) Shes one of my favorite day time smokes. A few of my patients don't care for he but the ones that like her, LOVE her. The GG#4 definitely seems to be a bit more universal though. I crossed my GG#4 to a very nice blueberry lotus male though, so gonna hunt for a more sturdy robust pheno
like any acquired taste it definitely grows on you i find, i used to prefer the sweet smelling and tasting strains but now i find they get boring very quickly and prefer more complex flavours. let us know how that BLG comes out, it sounds like it could be a winner!.

listen to zedd oscar! silica definitely helps matters when it comes to strong plant structure, i still need to bamboo my cheeses early though, it's just due to the angles at which the branches separate. growing the trees i do i still need a lot of support on my plants but i can get to about 3 weeks without, if i did a proper sog then i think i wouldn't even need string or wires to tie them up.

I'm at nearly five weeks now so I've probably missed the boat for this round. I'll keep it mind next time. Do you use it all through?

I use silica all the time, for all stages of life, all the way to harvest. It's good shit. Only additive I suggest everyone use. That and DM zone in hydro.

I've got 4 dogs on the go at the mo. 2 girls, 2 boys. The one boy is a real stinker, the other is leaning more towards the skinny leaves and the lemony smell, pretty different than any dog I've seen, we are just keeping it around for interest sake, might make a cross with it. The girls I'm not really sure which is which... they've both had issues when growing up. Not able to shine like they should. I got clones of all of them and the girls' offspring is looking better than their 'mothers' ever did. I'm looking forward to this next run. :)

And still looking forward to hosting my good buddy. ;)

Yea man, that sounds like an unfamiliar dog pheno to me to! All the dog crosses and dog I have run or seen run all seem to be dog dominant with the large fingered leaves.

Aint that funny about clones and seeds? Mother nature at work

yeah i think it is more effective used in veg and early flower but i'm sure you could use it right through, i usually stop using it a cpl weeks before i chop.

Not a damn thing. Trying not to get kicked out my house. lol Wifey not happy with me at the mo. Wife and baby went to London for the holidays, I stayed with the plants being a curmudgeon. I'm not due to leave Spain until June, and more likely a year from now. I'd like to take a trip to Morrocco before I leave, but not itching to visit any islamic countries tbh. Such a shame we all can't get along. LOL... a friend of mine smoked crack with Rodney King. Seriously.

Oh, actually mother in law just wrote 2 mins ago asking if she could visit on the 21st. So looks like we'll have company. yay?

It's forecast to be 20 here for the next 10 days. :) :) :)

You doing anything special? Dinner with the fam?

she's pissed because you wont go to london and leave your other "ladies" or is it something else probably trivial that women tend to kick up a fuss over? lol.

i already felt uneasy being in arab nations just stopping by for a layover, i would never holiday there. thing is i bet ten times the amount of tourists get killed in thailand. come to think of it ,i don't know if i'd go back there in a hurry, the russians have taken over lol

we're spending christmas in my brothers house this year, eating a plate of food that would feed the third world and sitting on my arse like a grandad watching the kids play whilst fighting off the sleep lol i wouldn't have it any other way.

a scorned wife and a mother in law to entertain?. sounds just champion

the 2400w garden going into week 6.

fireballs stink sour and greeeezy, there is also a strong hashy note on it, that will definately get stronger the longer these go.
cheese flopping as usual.
jakes dream smelling like a fruit salad been left in a hot car
gringo meh
blue pit throwing out baseball bats as usual

the next run will probably be another mixed one as i only have one plant big enough to take cuttings from and that is the gringo which is so far not thrilling me much. the only plant i have grown of it was just a weak cheese so if this current one doesn't entertain then it's in the bin she goes.

this garden is being shit on by the 1800w in terms of production this year, this is a tester garden mainly. up next in the 1800w is another cheese one, by then hopefully i have ran the glue in the 2400w and seen what it does. i will mono crop that in the 1800w and see if i can get a big bag of glue to huff on!

I loved the last bit of that video. Where you show the whole room. There are some right trees in there and the resin on them is immense. How much do they drink a day?
When I get that GG#4 cut I'll put the NFT away for a bit. I'll probaby do 75% cheese and the rest GG just to get a feel for it. I wouldn't monocrop a new strain in NFT. If you make a mistake or don't know the plant well you can fuck it up good and proper.
I'll look forward to seeing you do it justice

i water them on a monday and a friday, usually til i get a good amount of run off. so about 6-8l per 20l pot.

if it were warmer i would be going 3 times a week so i turned the radiators off in the house to make them last longer between feeds cause i can't be arsed going any more than twice a week if i don't absolutely have to.

a couple of times the fireballs have gone dry but not to the point were they wilt. they like the added oxygen but i think the buds aren't going to be very big as a result, can see some brown pistils already and the buds are tiny!.

i can't recommend coco enough for ease of use and more importantly re-use, even in a multi strain like this with untested strains i am doing a decent job making them perform for me.

i was a bit disappointed i didn't spend more time showing the full room, so you can get a feel for the size of them, spending too much time trying to get the camera to focus on the resin instead lol.

I've never used coco. I always used Plagron Batmix when I was in pots. Either handfeeding or autopots but I think I'll try coco because I don't remember hearing anything negative about it. I'll need to buy everything again. Pots and saucers or whatever they're called lol
I need to put some cuts in four inch blocks this weekend but I'll buy a few bags of coco and a bag of hydro pebbles instead. I say stuff like that all the time but this time I (probably) mean it. It's hard to change a winning formula though. The first time I'd grown cheese rather than livers for about five years I got 1.24gpw. My personal best with livers was 1.18 before that. I could set my watch to livers in NFT lol
I'm bored stiff of reeking skunk types now

they all fucking stink if you grow them right hahaha. i thought week 8 cheese was bad but my room is smelling more than ever!, i hope i don't get any letterbox sniffers as they are rife this time of year looking for the crimbo crops.

if you are only used to growing those two floppy twats you might enjoy growing some kush strains that tend to grow up to the light and don't get unruly taking up 20sq ft per plant lol. i reckon the big fireballs could have up to a half box on it and it only takes up 9sq ft max, very strong stems too which is a bonus as i haven't had to tie one branch up yet, the cheese on the other hand has every branch supported now and is only half the height.

i let it drift a little in veg but in flower i will start week 1 at around 6.0 tapering down to 5.5 in week 8.
when flushing i'll take it back up to 6 again ready for the babies to be transplanted into.

1kg out of a 1.2 is a great job, tent must have been rammed!.

I had 9 plants in 19 l pots then I had an elevated level round the edges with 5 6.5l pots, I used to get about 24 oz with a 1kw but the gav/bhuddha combo worked well, ill try droppin the pH a bit in late flower, thanks for the tip man
