I was thinking about my humidity problem and been reading around that some people spray there plants and this seems to help them. Is this ok? Should I fill a spray bottle w/ just RO water or water from the waterfarm res?

Been looking into humidifiers aswell, anyone got any recommendations? Not going to be able to buy one untill early jan :P

Nothing new atm. PPM was rising to 225/250 range and she had drank 2ltrs in 3 days. I made up 5ltrs of plain RO water and using that for add back for now. Going to keep an eye on her then do a res change on wed/thur. If she starts to drink up more neuts soon i'll boost her upto 2.5ml per 2gallon.

I might introduce the HPS (at max distance) on wed/thur aswell. Do you think this will be ok or should I just keep her on the CFL for a little bit longer?

when mine were little I sprayed them with plain tap water and they seemed to like it, especially before any roots were visible. Putting it on the hps should be fine, and with my kk's I was giving half strength nutes by this time.

How much is half strength neuts? Not too sure but I think i'll just stay on the micro for a week untill introducing the FNB. It's been 17 days and I think this plant might have to veg a bit longer untill it's about 10"/12" tall till I flip to 12/12.

Lights has just came on and done my daily checks. She's starting to take off now that there is one long root in the res now. No huge drop in PPMs yet but i'm planning to do a res change on wed/thur with some more neuts.
I'll post a pic when I get back from work tonight.

I've been using the lucas formula with mine, which is 8ml of micro and 16ml of bloom per gallon, The micro might be plenty for them right now, if they don't look like they have any defiencies stick with what your doing. You get that one root first and then it starts going crazy. The roots on my one plant almost fill the 5 gal bucket.

Hey Natty, about the lights I would go with the HPS right away, tbh I would have done it since she was in the Waterfarm, just keep it far for now (at least 3 feet) then start lowering her bit by bit as she get's stronger (by week 3 of veg you should be able to place the light at a regular distance (1'-2' 1/2)). I am using a 250W and I keep the light anywhere from 6 to 12 inches from the tops of the plant during flowering, a 600W I would place at least 1'-2' 1/2 away, remember if it burns your hand it'll burn your plant, but you can use it now for sure without any harm just keep it at a reasonable distance; one thing's for sure, you will notice the difference when you do put it up, she's gonna love the extra luminous output the 600W gives in comparison with the CFL's.

About the nutrients; remember K.I.S. :) "Keep It Simple" ; if you don't see burns or deficiencies your good! Don't add anything just to add something, the plant will let you know what she wants and needs, just keep an eye on your ppm's and keep her nutrients fresh, do as many reservoir changes as you can (I did reservoir changes at least once a week during veg and twice a week during flowering).

Hope it helps friend. :)

Dammmmmm i'm loving this HPS. The light is nice and orangle/yellow and the 600w kicks out tons of heat. So glad I bought a fan controller.
At first when the HPS came on. I checked it in the first hour and from 18.5c it jumped upto 30c. Put the fan settings up and now it's sitting on 28c. I think when I remove the CFL in the next few days temps will drop to 26/27c.

Done a water check and PPMs are still in range of 220/240, PH 6.9. Doing a res change tomorrow when lights come on. Going to add 2.5ml of Micro per 8.5ltr. I think this will be ok for her since she isn't eating many neuts yet.

Here's a pic.

Been trying to get lights off temps steady. Got a small fan heater on a timer and the temps been ranging from 15-21c. I hope this doesn't stress her too much, but it's starting to get too dam cold from where I live =(

PPMs are still in range of 220/250 so i'm not too sure why she isnt eating many neuts but i'm going to make a new mix today when lights come back on.

hey natty as long as your ppm's arent going up then she is taking in nutes it just means your mix is spot on. shes taking in equal parts nutes and water thats where u want to keep it. don bump them up unless she tells u she wants more by the ppm's dropping. if it aint broke dont fix it. shes about to take off now that shes under the hps anyway

Ah right. Thankyou very much my friend.
I needed to do a res change any way so I made up 2.6ml of Micro per 8.5ltrs. From RO water 20PPM, this took it upto 160PPM. Only a small jump from the first 100PPM. Thanks again for the tip forgetw.
Think i'm going to get rid of the CFL in the next 24/48 hours since the HPS is a dual spec.

Hello. This is allmost the end of day 20.
I'd say she's drinking allmost a litre a day. Been checking the PPMs and she hasn't been going crazy so I made my add-back as 1/2 strength.

PPM - 210/230
PH - 6.9
Tent temp - 27.5c
Res temp - 21c
Humidity - less than 40%. Bit annoyin but fudge it, can't afford a humidifier atm.

All is going well atm. Going to give her another 2 weeks veg and probs introduce FNB in a week or two aswell.
The HPS doesn't do the pics any good but she is nice a green. Mayb a bit lighter on the top of the plant but all good.

No worries about humidity soon she will be drinking a gallon a day and making her own humidity.
