We, refused to allow Chavez to sell Gas at a much lower rate in the US. Why?? What kind of libritarian would I be If I didn't allow the market to work. Sell the Gas for .75 cents I bet they would still have made a profit or at least broke even. You can't tell me that someone wasn't gougeing gas prices It was over $5 dallors in N. Cali for a while. Why would I not want cheap gas, they will not run at a lose we should have taken the deal.
But no we got a whole hate machine going agienst Chavez. We didn't take it because he nationalized the oil. Stupid. You afraid to run a state run corperation ageinst "free" enterprise oil?? Someone didn't want to be made to look bad, like the oil companies. If a socialist could sell gas for .75 cents a gallon, for example "Gasoline is cheaper than mineral water in oil-producing Venezuela, where consumers can fill their tanks for less than $2." Good idea, but try and find something... I sill believe that companies should be taxed for every "out of country" job they have... its time to take a slight profit loss and help the countries whose tax incentives allow THEM to get so wealthy....
All I know is I'm fed up with calling some call center and getting someone that doesn't speak either official language (french/english)....

I like free trade sorta, But we don't have Free trade we have managed trade. I think we should match every other nations tariffs. Japan has 100% tariffs on us, fine we have 100% tariffs on them. I bet you they will give up on protectionism they are more dependant on us then we are on them. They need our money, we can make our own bobbles, We have the workforce. Yeah it may be ugly, but it would go a long way to ending managed trade, protectionism and balancing the market.

Funny you should mention it, but, last night I got a sales call from some silly foriegner, couldn't understand one frikin word. So, I just started talking nonsense back to her, kept her tied up on the line for about 5 minutes, My wife was laughing hysterically. The problem arrives when you need some information from them. What I do is ask for a supervisor untill I get someone I can understand
