girls getting to big for the grow room!

Hi all thanks for taking the time to read this...

i have 2 plants out of 5 taht are growing to tall for my 6ft high grow room. I have a 600W HPS that i am tring to keep 1.5 to 2 feet from the tops of the plants.

i am a new grower so i no i have let them stretch in veg a little to much. I put them into flower on the 20th march which puts me 3.5 weeks into it.

I have a good temp and humid in the room with average ventalation. I just started using terra flores neuts after using formulaex for veg and the first few weeks of flower.

any ideas of how i can make the plants work in this room? i dont want to cut them as they are healthy and as a new grower i have not topped them or tried LST.

Please Help as soon i will be in real trouble!

ive exactly the same problem, i had topped mine so had 4 main colas, i HAD to chop one off as the stem was so thick and stumpy i couldnt get it to bend anymore and it was getting burnt by the lights, the others i just tied them down. the others have all had a growth boost since i chopped one cola down, but im not chopping any of the others down, i'll just tie them and stress them and if they hermie so be it, then it gets chopped but until then its getting tied down further and further


go get some string bro and dont be shy, its either tie them or chop them....i would get that string and tie them to whatever you can to pull them down from the light

I would rather tie than chop thats for sure! so LST it is ill check out some threads to see what i can do with some stress trainging to try and get them away frm the light.

Firstly yeah go check some threads. Secondly check threads that say super cropping, This is where you break down the branches by folding them over, its a bit like LST. This will definitely help with the hight problem.

you can pinch the main stem until it doubles over than use a fishing weight to hold it down. i have done this with success.

danthebull, thanks for your help i have read so much over the last few months i kind of got lost for direction... thanks for your input ill get back on the reading

now thats a comment thanks for the great info... using different size weights depending on how much you want to bend... nice work thanks for your input!
