Giving the homemade aero-cloner a shot

I've tried before and failed but giving it one more shot. Took a old plastic coffee can and drilled a hole in the side and 2 holes in the lid. Ran a hose for the bubble stone through the side hole and to the pump. Covered the bubble stone with pH'd water. Cut 2 SSH clones (they seem the easiest to root for me), prepped them as usual then put them in the holes in the top of the coffee can, stems just a bit above the water line.
1st I want to see if I can make this work after previous failures.
2nd I want to see if this method is quicker than my normal method and consider doing it on a larger scale.
I'll try to update this thread if anyone is interested

well after 3 days one of the clones is getting pretty week and the stem is real soft, other one still looking good but no roots. Got my fingers crossed, tried this before and failed. don't really care about these babies just want to see if I can get aerocloning down without buying one

You need a pretty good air pump making some good bubbles to clone that way. You could just float a fogger in a 5 gal bucket and suspend the plants in 2" net pots...

Any details on your setup? That's almost exactly what I want (5 site diy bubble cloner)

+rep man, thanks for sharing, that things pretty slick. Love DIY homemade stuff like this. I've been really impressed to see how well the community does with making some high end aeroponic setup with 30 bucks and a trip to home depot :)

I would like to see pictures. I intend to make one of these.

Can you give us details as to the depth of the water? Does shallow or deeper water levels make better bubbles?

thanks
