First off... basic science lesson number one. When you are talking about probability and averages, you can't make any inferences about frequency from a single event. That's like saying the probability of winning the lotto is 10 million to 1, then after a guy wins saying 'well I guess statistics are wrong'. Or like when people are afraid to fly because they hear stories on the news of plane crashes... even though the probability of dieing in a plane crash is much less than dieing in a car crash. Basic statical fallacy that you morons can't seem to grasp.

Just to clear up one thing... no one has said that there will be no more ice soon. IDIOT.... pure hyperbole.

Second science lesson... Ice floats... (WOW)... so while it does take up more space than water, a lot of it is above sea level in mountains and icebergs and on land (try watching Nova on PBS sometime).

Are you understanding what I mean now by 'not understanding basic science'. Of course you don't....

third basic science lesson... Warm air holds more moisture than cold air (as a grower you should all know this). This why it doesn't snow much in the Arctic, and especially in the Antarctic, and also why there is some truth to the old wives tale "It's too cold to snow".

Again very, very, basic, science.

You deniers lack basic information to make any kind of informed decisions. Go back to your conspiracy web sites and smoke another one.

just wanted to point out that its the ice sheets on land, you know the ones that are a kilometer or so thick with ice and cover an entire continent. thats the bit everyones worried about.
didnt your 7th grade geography teacher ever get round to ice sheets?

Another basic science lesson for the MOD.

"Icebergs float"

Here is a basic science experiment even the mentally retarded can do at home.

Put some Ice in a cup... fill up the rest of the cup with water, to the top... now let it melt... you will notice the water line doesn't change because the ice changes to water, which is less volumn... BUT the Ice that was sticking up top of the glass also melts into the cup, keeping the water level the same. (I did this experiment like in grade 5 or something).

Do you get it? Any iceburgs, or ice that are in the ocean WON'T RAISE THE SEA LEVEL... ONLY ICE ON LAND WILL DO THAT!

I suggest you guys find a physics site devoted to children and the mentally handicapped... and spend the rest of your life trying to catch up to society.

Don't you guys feel stupid yet?????

Again... this is all BASIC FUCKING SCIENCE!
