Go Green LEDs Cree CXB3070 grow lights

I'm a noob here, about to buy some equipment and try my hand at growing "tomatoes". I've done a crash course the past week or so on lighting, and I've come to the conclusion these COB styles are the best for what I want. I plan on doing 2-3 plants in a 2x2 tent, using LST. and going with auto-feminized strains. We'll see what happens, but I'm encouraged by what people have said and shown in this thread and the other one.

Glad my journal could help you out! For a 2x2 tent that go green light would be perfect. You won't be disappointed if you grab it. Just make sure you actually want to grow. It would be a shame if you dropped all that money on your first grow and then realized it isn't for you. Maybe start with a 150W HPS cheap light. Thats what I did. Spending 50 bucks on a light is a much easier pill to swallow than $500

See, you make a lot of sense, considering I'm just starting out. I know I will enjoy it. But I already did the opposite LOL. I went and spent some big bucks for a high-end expensive LED. I figure I'll get all of that money recouped after the first grow, if I do it right. It was a hard pill to swallow though, pressing that "submit order" button, I'll admit it.

@GoGreenLEDs do you guys take prepaid visa? I know this sounds weird but I don't like to deal with banks and credit cards and what not so I actually just do cash only. Prepaid visa is the best I could do short of mailing money in an envelope (which I am concerned about as well, wouldn't want any mailmen getting an extra paycheck)

Thanks!

I think if I was paying to be a vendor I'd actually make an attempt to show up. The 2 company names is pretty strange too.

Prepaid Visa work the same as standard Visa cards. Sorry for the late reply, for some reason my account stopped sending update notifications to my email. I have been working on a new light for the new website, americangrowlights.com.

How come there is 2 websites that are almost identical but with different names? One is "GoGreen" http://www.gogreenleds.com/about.html the other "American Grow Lights" http://www.americangrowlights.com/about.html
one site has the 6 cob for 800 bucks the other 900
American Grow Lights is currently under development, and has been unpublished for the time being. It's no secret that our current line is manufactured in China, and we will continue to produce this line for our customers, but we are also going to start a pilot manufacturing line in the US to serve our customizations and our customers to the North (Canada) with American made lights.

Sorry for any confusion this may have caused.

I can second this. Pretty sure I have the first light from GGL on this forum and it doesn't run hot at all!!
Your the first person I heard tell me my lights run hot. I don't think they others even use as many fans as ours, we use 1 fan per COB on our current design and our heatsink design is excellent.

Any word on Black Friday deals? Would it be worth waiting a couple more weeks on one of the new 100w citizen models?

looking for a small cob to cover a 2ftx4ft area,, why are most models using the 3070's? ive been told the 3590's are better, so why no small 200watt units using the 3590's?

do u guys still offer a buy 3 get one free on the 200 watt units?
IS THERE A SIMILAR OFFER WITH THE100 watt units? if i buy more than 2?

First, thank you for your interest in COB lighting.

I can offer my opinion on why people are using 3070s, some people find it's better to spread the light and the heat out, so in that regard it's better to have a higher count of chips verses packaging more of the COB dice into one bigger cluster. I suppose the other main reason for their popularity is performance and availability. It's a numbers game calculating the comparative cost and quality of other brand/dice cluster size COBs that were available to determine the best value. It appears many people came to similar conclusions.

It's like buying a car, many people seek the best value. You can get the most efficient vehicle but sometimes the cost of getting that Tesla is high compared to the utility gained. We can make the Tesla of grow lights, the question is will people want it?

In the spirit of Thanksgiving...
