Going back to 18/6 before flowering is finished - what's it going to do?

Hey all,

I've changed my plans and am going to have to switch my my lights back to veg before all the plants are finished flowering.

I have about 8 clones that are 3 weeks behind the rest, they are all pretty small, in fairly small pots but they already have some decent buds going on them. They are at 30 days flowering now. I will be flipping the lights back in about 10 days, as soon as there are roots on the new clones I made today.

So the big question is, what the heck will happen if i just do this? I doubt the plants will go back to vegging so close to being finished, but it doesn't seem like a good idea...

Anyone else ever try this?

They should return to vegging, as they do when when you develop a light leak in the 12 hr dark cycle. I'm curious what will happen to the buds. Will they die and fall off? Maybe they'll just stay as they are while the plant keeps growing. I hope you post the results of your experiment!

they will go back to veg....but it is a hell of alot of stress on ur plants....likely that when u flower again they will hermie on you...especially with it being 30 days in already

Well i waited a bit longer than i thought it would have too to harvest, but i've now got 4 girls 3 weeks from harvest that i just switched back to 18/6. They were really just kind of an experiment, i wanted to see how much i could get off of 8 plants and set it up for harvest every three weeks. I was going to use my DWC space to support this but have decided to stick with DWC as the yeild is just so much better. Plus i don't know shit about growing in soil and i have & hate those fungus gnats so they didn't do so hot. So i'm just going to stick with DWC and add a bubble bucket in the space instead, it's more fun growing bushes anyway.

What i will do is keep one of them alive just to see what happens......will it go back into veg ?? I'll pick one and post a pick and some progress shots as it goes...but we should make it a poll.

I know she's pretty sad looking...but 7 weeks of flower to the day...now 18/6. Will she go back to veg? What are the buds going to do? I what to know...
