Going crazy if this is bud rot

What’s up guys. Sent a pic of a nug like 2 weeks ago before I started chopping they had mold. Everything else looked okay. The mold was on the very top cola. From the pics it looks crowded which it is, topped twice and didn’t scrog for the first time so both plant were sort of a mess.

The pics don’t show a 2 strong floor fan blowing directly under the plants. And the there’s the 2 circulating on top. Still can use more. After what’s in flower redoing it all.

The second plant I left for 1 day and the pH just to 6.8. The water was low ec super high and the plant looked dead. I chopped it right away and it looks just like the other.

Pics of the grow. Pics of a hand full of nugs from the second plant that should be ready to bag today. They both look basically the same. Well the “good” nugs that I have close ups. Very dark. Lots of trichromes but under the scope it looks like there’s tons of trichromes with no heads, almost shriveled white trichromes. Is this rot? The white hairs on the stems? Thanks in advance. I see discoloration in the center but nothing crazy and been seeing my own bud for so long I forgot the last batch and going nuts.

What’s your thoughts guys

Sadly I just wouldnt consume it. If I see nothing Il keep it is my new strategy. I thought my tents could be all in one to save on fans filters energy but its kinda good to have separate tents and plants. As if one gets mold the others may be ok but now theres just tons of spores all over that.

Good question brought up, what about plants next to it? Well sadly same thing its too close. Ive read so many people say theyd keep it I thought I would do the same. It eventually got out of hand and didnt even want it. Tossed lots of weed and plants almost harvesting again.

If I see one PM or botritys outbreak that plants gone and *maybe* I can have the rest in other tents if goes well. Id add a box fan and reduce rh as much possible and grow smaller plants with smaller buds. Maybe just rh and fans are enough though.

If not fix the root cause might end up only growing moldy weed which isnt good. If you get sick the severity is up there to say the least. I might be on my way out the door or hopefully just needed to fix the cause.

that looks like a little rot to me. it might just be only in those tops, which is pretty common since they’re the biggest/most dense buds. just give everything else a good look over before consuming, but IMO it isnt a lot of rot, and I’d wager most of your harvest is fine. My only advice is let that dry out more than you normally would. Moisture is your enemy now

Thanks man. Yup that one had me nervous because it doesn’t look like mold. Under 60x it’s just the regular hairs on the stems. I’ll definitely let everything sit until it’s ready. It’s a consistent 64rh 64° closest I can get to 60/60

What I'm seeing in the pics are buds that look more like they went too long than mold . The part that's circled I'm not sure what to make of .
Yeah, I agree. I think it's just some of the buds are older. I really don't see the rot....but the pics aren't really great.

I'm wondering if a UV light might reveal any mold or rot....?

Box fan filter unit will catch spores. Home made $25 or $75 for a premade one.
I make mine a little different. I take a box, and cut out the one side, then tape in a furnace filter. Behind it I put in an inline fan and duct that into the grow. So any air going in is filtered.

It doesn't have to be pretty. Just functional.
Been making these for years.

I find putting a filter against a box fan greatly reduces the cfm of the fan, and makes the motor work harder. Tends to heat up some and id rather avoid any kind of burnout mishaps

I dont use them for canopy fans I was going to but the cost of energy around me makes it as good as buying a new fan. I like turbulant air atm to feel at ease idk where the line is to avoid PM and botritys. Im almost 14 days from chop.

I just would have this running in the room on max. Having a intake in tent with filter sounds nice I just worry about negative air pressure sucking in spores through tent zipper and fabric gaps. Im sure it helps though.

Thing is, if it were that bad for the fan why do they make premade versions? Maybe those arent supposed to be merv 13 but merv 8 or so.
