So what do I do? I have little yellow bannanas popping out of my almost ready to harvest buds....one or 2 per bud.....do I keep clipping them as I find them or ignore them? I have one plant that will be ready in a week or 2 and the other one ready in 3-4 weeks. Any chance it will spoil my two virgins?

that hermie will polinate your other ladies, weather they will put out seeds in such a short time I don't know. But if I were you and you are so close to harvest I would chop it down. Beter safe than sorry! IMHO

on the one that is pictured 90% of the pistols have turned brown but there are some spots where there is new growth...just waiting for the pistols to recede and trics to turn amber. The other one is about 2 weeks behind and has about 40% of the pistols brown but has new growth still in the buds. Both plants are showing male flowers....do you think cutting them off when found will reduce the risk?

You can take a chance, but you wont be able to find all of them. It is up to you my friend I thought it was only one plant. I would save the polen for later grow for seeds off of one branch. It really is a toss up on what to do.

Man, I have the same prob..I have a post up..look for it under my username...maybe some of the answers I get will help...Hasn't me tho..from what I have read, chop em. Think that's what I'm going to do I guess. Good luck dude! :leaf:

We just ran into this problem yesterday too. Didn't notice until I saw seed pods and then started digging deeper to reveal that it fucked up itself (Diesel) and my Big Bud :( Get those things out of there NOW! Harvest it!

what if you move it away from the females and grow it and then get the seeds from it?....how far do u figure u have to move it?

how far will pollen travel in the air?
well that would depend on air movement.
For a male your not worried about mold to much or heat stress just get it to finish with 12/12.
If you just want to collect pollen you can put little baggies with rubber bands over a male bud to catch the pollen in,
and then carefully put some only the bud you want to pollinate.
Just keep male plants well trimmed with fan leaves only and just one bud site that will release pollen.
But let the pros do the breeding, cloning works much faster than seed.

According to some of the things I've read it's not unusual to have a sensi plant produce some male flowers late in bloom in a last ditch effort to produce some seeds. The problem is if the female flowers are at a stage where they are still viable. From what I've read this last ditch effort comes too late MOST of the time. Most of the pistils have turned red/brown and what haven't turned yet have already started. My question is at what stage does the female flower become stale and no matter how much pollen is released still can't produce? From what I've read is when the female pistils start to turn color is when they become stale. The other thing is that being 2-3 weeks from harvest just how many seeds can be produced?

One more question...when a female flower is successfully impregnated does the pistil immedatly receed into the bud? If so, that would be a way to find out if any pods have been fertilized.
