Going out of town for week, light height question.

So i am going out of town for 7 days over xmas. My current crop will be finished and i will just be planting my newest girl in my flower tent. So she will be on 16-8 for the week i am gone and have just been transplanted from a 1 gal to a 15 gallon pot and transferred from T5 lighting to a 400w HPS. The strain is DNA OG LA Affie (not an og) a heavy indica. My question is if i leave the light like 24 inches above the plant i am not risking it growing up to the lights glass and catching on fire or something like that? The glass gets very warm, i may just be being paranoid but i dont want to burn my house down.
