your smell issuse

this is where u spend money

u have 3 choices
air polishing..............carbon filter sucking in the air and pumpung it back in the room
ona bucket...............a gel bucket designed to cover weed smell(like plug ins for farts)
carbon scrubber.........this is just like air polishing except it only scrubs the weed room and ejects the air out of the area

all 3 will cost u money ....................air polishing would be the best thing for u ...............here .................this would more then work for u . it is over sized u just hang it in the cloest as the stink comes u turn it on it will suck the air tho and pass it back in the room removing the smell...................this one is refillable so u just buy new active carbon once a year and u should get up to 5 years of life with that fan and filer set up

Don't buy from Craigslist?

400w MH light, fixture, and ballast $50
600w HPS light, fixture, and ballast $50
Two Easycool6 light fixtures plus two complete light movers $45
4' four-bulb T5 fixture with 3000K and 6000K bulbs $55
Two veg cabinets (holds six plants total) $64

I'll let you figure out what retail is on this stuff. I've had to replace the MH bulb after 10 months of use ($25) and since I switched my T5 from flower to veg replaced the two 3000K bulbs to 6000K.

There's a ton of people that went out and bought all the equipment new and for whatever reason decided growing wasn't for them. I could have bought four ebb-and-flow tables (4'x4' each) for $10 a piece but I am a soil grower. You can start your growing with a big price tag, or be smart and get used and if growing is your cup of tea, slowly replace with new and sell your used stuff for what you paid for it.

tents and other things like that if they let u check them out fine

but lights and fans and pumps/things with motors ..............u got to be a numb nutz ......stuff now adays is not made well they break after so many hours of use so u go out and buy a new model every 3 to 5 years ...............buying the parts 2nd hand u do not have a number of hours ran and u do not know if it was used correctly (ie not in a hot room somewhere in the 70s so it says cool) .............as for plastic containers and all those things not smart.........any marks on it can cuase bactrea to form and wreck the system (brewing the most time u get out of a bucket is 12 months)

buying a brand new one atleast they offer u a replacement or rebuild on it ......some places offer u 1 years from the store and 3 years from the maker

it common sence u do it on the cheap more offen something will break and u have to replace it ............why buy a light bulb that has 10,000 hours on it for 30 bucks when u can get a fresh one for 65 and get the full 20,000 hours

buy it new buy it fresh.................something breaks u can call them up and go had this for 35 days and it no longer lights up (send it back will replace it) i had this happen with a t5 set up one of the ballast was broken and the 4 lights did not fire up like other 4 .......made little movie showing it sent to them they sent me a replace express shipping with a return label to send the other one back

one of the bulbs i got for the HID blew with in 30 hours i contacted them and they sent me a replacement one (better then the orginal)

I guess we'll agree to disagree. You may want to refrain from calling people names "Numb-nutz"....it really isn't called for.

Let's see.....2 light-movers new comes out to a bit over $500, the easycool6 light fixtures are $100 each retail, the 600w bulb, fixture, and ballast retailed $189, the 400w MH I'm guessing at $120 retail, the grow cabinets (mini storage sheds) were $159 each retail. Personally, I'll take my chances when getting over $1,300 of equipment for about $250.

numb nutz is not a bad or banned term ........it only means short sighted.....Putz is the bad one (jewish person calls u a putz u can slap them)

just think about it ............when u spend the money new the run time is at 0 so u will get the life out of it (as u are the orginal buyer u can get replacements/work done at cheap to no cost)

from a second person (not a shop) it is a as is sale they say they only did 2 grows with it but had it for 3 years sitting on the side odds are they ran it for 3 years and they need a bigger one

unless they have some tamper proof method to keep track of the run hours it is a gamble and ppl today are not all that honest ...............would u buy a used computer .....if so i got several i can offer for 100 bucks (they are crap and no good the ram is half dead the cpu is dated and the run life on the power supply and hard drive is passed the point they were built for ) ............clean it up can of air duster i could sell it (but i am not a dick) other ppl are

a hood i would buy off someone once i tested the socket and the plug (that has no run time) but the ballast does ...........a tent is a tent no holes no leaks and the zipper work good to go ........but a fan that has had 120 140 degree air tho it for the last 8 months none stop no

I was in the car business for 17 years. I primarily sold new cars...ya know...with warranty and new car smell. I can tell you the best investment is a car that is a 3 year old car with average mileage on it. It has depreciated by half and still has 150,000 miles to go. Yes, there will be repairs along the way, but the net cost of ownership is much lower than buying new.

Grow equipment is much the same. Used equipment is everywhere on Craigslist....much of it is low mileage. Sure, you may have to replace a bulb...but they're cheap. I can tell you from personal experience is that if one shops wisely used equipment is a better return on investment.

Again, we'll agree to disagree. There's new car buyers that would never consider a used car and vice-versa.

why buy a used car for 7000 when u are going to sink in anouther 2000 to 3000 for tune up brakes and all that good stuff with in 1 year of owning

a new car the parts are not woren and the 10000 price is that with 3 years warrent on transmission free oil changes for 2 years and they do a engine check at 100000 miles

i seen ppl spend more money on repairs to the the car then they paided for it ................it does not make sence in the long in new car last u 5 to 6 years before any major problems a used something maybe 2 years and after u spend 1/2 the cost of buying the car it is no longer worth it ............blue book is only scrap 1800 2000............i have sunk in more then 10 grand buying and repairing

what i call common sence seems not to be common any more ( i talk with ppl double my age 60 70 year old ppl they see the value in what i say but ppl now days sooner they get it the better the cheaper they get it the better)

invest in the hobby do it right if u half ass it something will go wrong u might lose all that work in the middle of the run .............spend 500 more and have the run finish and come out great or save the 500 bucks and take the chance like u do on lotto
