The military isn't for some people. If you don't do well being bossed around and treated like a slave then its not for you. It can be the best thing for you If you can get with the program and embrace it (doubtful if your hanging out here though). Think of it like college hazing but over a longer term. Make officer grade and you'll be dishing shit out, not taking it. (Shit rolls downhill).

68W Army Combat Medic 1969-70 Vietnam.........
Hoooraaa Brother! 'Doc' is what everyone calls a medic in the Army. My 2 years as combat medic in the Army were the most rewarding & terrifying of my life. The ability to give aid to your brother soldier get thru their most dire times and make it home is a fulfilling profession. Everybody in your unit takes care of 'Doc'. But a couple of things they didn't tell me about being a medic was that medics were a high priority target right up there with the CO & RTO! and 'Doc' was the one who had to crawl to the most forward position in a firefight to tend the wounded. Good luck bro, I got hooked on the adrenaline......

What do you mean to another mos?
They did it to two friends of mine, one Navy, and National guard. The one in the navy went in to be a Track wheel vehicle mechanic, he is Sitting in a guard shack in Iraq with a M-16 in his hand as we speak. Another friend went into the National guard to do the the EXACT same job as you he was previously an EMT Intermediate and firefighter. He was forced to be an EOD tech..... Good luck, everyone knows recruiters lie unless you sign up for infantry.

Last I checked joining the military or not was a choice. They supposedly die to make sure the people still have the freedom of choice
Under no circumstances. I wonder what language we would be speaking if all the people of the united states pussied out during WW2.

I def. WOULD NOT join the reserves under any conditions. The govt has you by the balls and nothing you can do about it once you sign, PT with little pay, your balls and freedom gone..sent to fight any/everywhere without the same benefits active members receive....get blown up in combat? your on your own... first choice, emt or paramedic working for a state or local govt, last choice active duty.....worst choice...reserves....DONT DO IT BROTHER!!! been there done that...

I thank you for your service. Without your sacrifice, the North Atlantic would be teeming with cannibal pirate rats.

It occurs to me that, in its current state, our physics doesn't recognize a law of conservation of shit. There seems to be an over-unity shitting engine built into the fabric. Maybe it's bran theory at work.

Yeah it's the only over-unity device we'll find I bet. Oh and as for bran theory you are just jealous because you guys are Physics short order cooks ;)

Ok so my whole liffe mostly
i have had lets say more moments then i care to share where i just lose it.
I don't black out, but i get to where i don't have control.
its been to the point i have almost beat somone into a coma(they ran off with 10$ ) i beat his face into the ground and didn't stop until my friends pulld me off ( i was going to make him eat a big rock forcably (more of a life lesson imo)
because i can't stop unless somones stops me
all it is is like pure hatred.
I'm not a violent. person at all until this happens.
but is this physcosis or just me being an ahole.
i hate hurting anyone and is the sole reason i try to be a passivist.
And one of the big reasons i smoke but i still come close to losing it even if I'm high as shit.
maybe I'm the kind of person prison was ment for?
i think deep down I'm a violent physcopath....i know i have it in me
HOWEVER i have hit my head so many times maybe its from that?
and you're sure a combat medic is the right occupation for you?
