I would've actually enjoyed seeing that.
yeah it was about as frightening as the gang fights in west side story.

these two eggheads argued about soil retention, clay substrates, speed of growth, sprouts being shaded, the watershed's chances of washing out a particular location, a redwood stump's ability to re-sprout even after being burnt out and chut down (and it was true, the redwood stump in question now has a big healthy sequoia growing out of it's side... the hippie was right!) and at one point they even pushed each other while calling each other names, like " psuedo-intellectual buffoon" and "ignorant poseur"

there were even comments on the merits of recycling diplomas into compost as a superior use of resources. it was fucking hilarious.

Nothing has happened to the price of gold. It is the same now as it was in Roman times and way before that. It is worth exactly what it was then as it is now. The real question is, as one of my favorite economists says: "compared to what?"

If gold were worth five thousand an oz tomorrow it just means the Federal Reserve Note aka "dollar" took a shit overnight.

Just did a dead cat bounce. More downward movement on the way
man you just cant give it up.

gold has been rising, or from a realistic perspective, the fiat dollar has been FALLING since the 70's. the trend is UPWARD, and will continue upward until the fiat dollar is shored up with sound monetary planning, or the dollar is backed with some asset other then promises and more printing.

either way ill still be panning for gold, and keeping as much as i can in silver.

"Clurichauns will not earn you riches, they will rob you blind. They will eat all of your food, drink all of your drink and steal your animals."

a Cluricuan would not be standing next to a pot of gold, but instead a flask of wine or a jug of ale..lol

The market is quite well aware it's paper manipulation and doesn't reflect actual demand. Some folks have a vested interest in keeping it way down. It is massively underpriced. Silver is even more so.
