Gold qwiso..correct or no

I recently made some qwiso with old trim and it rurned out not quite like i was expecting.

I put it in a warm water bath with a fan blowing over the top for about 3 hours.

It was originally gold but has turned a bit brown. It smells like sticky black too and is really sticky.

Have i gone wrong or is that how its suppose to be and how do i make it harder?
