Gold qwiso

I recently made some qwiso with old trim and it rurned out not quite like i was expecting, i put it in a warm water bath with a fan blowing over the top. It was originally gold bit has turned a bit brown. It smells like sticky black too.

Have i gone wrong or is that how its suppose to be?

Its sticky to the touch and wont harden up
