how do you go about buying gold without having to fill out a bunch of paperwork and bullshit? i heard gold coins are a good way but where would you go to get these? and do they hold value like real bars or nugs? haha just curious and stoned. seems like paper money is becoming more worthless each day.

There should be many places in your city that sell gold. Look downtown. I am not into gold. I figure if you need real gold to buy bread, you will have bigger problems. And at $1,800 an ounce, how do you actually pay? Do youo shave your coin down and weigh it? See where I am going?

Next time you're looking to get rid of something {expensive}, try a Pawnbroker...some of these guys will pay you in gold/silver if you ask, some carry gold bars or coins

i definitely hear what your saying. but i would only be buying it with money that i plan on not spending though like an inheritance. money i would be using in the future, 10 years or more and would rather have something i know that will hold its value.

but i cant go down with lets say ten grand and go to a gold place and be like, i want bars for this, but i dont want any papers or bullshit to go along with it. can you?

its to expensive you wouldnt make any money on it at this point.
i am not looking to make money im looking for something that can hold its value.
If the economy doesn't suddenly and solidly recover (with our accumulated debt and continuing deficit, I consider that less likely) gold will be a safe harbor for value. And if the world economy takes a poo ... and it just might, I can't think of any safer harbors. Today's hallucinatory gold prices might be just the first small step.
But that's all a colossal Maybe. cn

I invest in lead. Seriously. When we need gold to pay for things, ammo will be as valuable, and it is much cheaper right now.

Also, one way you can buy gold without "papers" or fees, is to buy it in the form of jewelry. Buy figaro necklaces, or gold chain for making necklaces. I figure those would be alot easier to seperate into smaller "payments" anyway.

gold is a lot cheaper if it's just in coins or bars. i wouldn't go with the jewelry thing unless you really couldn't find any other way to buy without a trail.

That lead idea is a damn good idea. as soon as shit hits the fan you know it will skyrocket. and you know shit is already on it's way towards the fan.
