i was also wonder the same thing. When i see the nice pics i always wonder the kind of camera after a minute of aww, will a microscope say x20 work well for close up with a cheap cam?

I have a sony with macro flower icon but it's still comes out fuzzy

a good digital slr with lenses that can be switched out and capable of manual focusing are the absolute best.
That being said, they just don't fit in a lot of peoples budgets. Just look for a decent camera that has at least 5x magnification thru the lens and macro mode. Do not count "digital" magnification which is less effective.
