Can anyone recommend a easy-to-grow cheese plant for beginners? if you could send me a link to a good seed which you have grown yourself in the past or just a good supplier you know of and an explanation of how long it needs in total, the more info the better!

thanks :-P

any of the many cheeese strains will do you right ,but beware they absolutely stink throughout the entire grow , getting super stinky torwards the end , a decent carbon filter is a must .

I just finished an Exodus Cheese from GHS. It never got very big and was very spindly. I ended up getting 1 1/2 oz dry. I have sampled a bud and so far I am not impressed. Maybe better after the cure.

I'm currently growing 2 feminized Cheese plants, from Royal Dutch Genetics, bought online through the attitude seed bank. I'm using DWC 5- gallon buckets, GH Flora series nutes, a 4 tube, 2' T5 fluorescent light fixture, and a bunch of supplemental CFL's in a small coat closet. As a noob grower, I decided to let it do its thang naturally, without FIMming, topping, LSTing, etc, to become familiar with the strain, growing in general, and to learn what techniques might work better my next Cheese grow.

These plants took off like a rocket as soon as they sprouted! I had to set my alarm clock rather than a light timer for the first few weeks of veg, because I would wake up and find they'd grown up into my lights overnight. They were rather tolerant of my noobie mistakes with nutrients early on; a flush for a day of just water and hydrogen peroxide, and they'd recover pretty quickly.

I would definitely recommend some sort of trellising, because they are now about 5 1/2 feet tall, sitting in their 5- gallon buckets on the floor. They are rather slender and leggy, with some fan leaves as big as my head! They are an indica/sativa type, and mine look like they take more after their sativa side. I took a cutting from each plant, and while it took 2 weeks for them to start putting down new roots, they're doing well, and began to grow as rapidly as their mothers did.

I'm around 2 months into flowering now, I think. I honestly lost track, because they seem to take FOREVER to finish flowering... (supposed to take about 60 days) they still have crisp white hairs, but are slowly bulking up and getting more dense and frosty. And yes, they stink to high heaven. I can smell them when I come in my front door, from the other side of the house!

I picked Cheese as my first strain to grow, because I very much enjoyed its smoke the first time I tried it. I'll just have to wait and see how it is once it is finished, and of course your Cheese growing experience will vary depending on your equipment and setup, like any other plant. Next time, I'll use HID lighting for sure, to get better light penetration past those big-ass fan leaves, and do some training to limit its vertical growth... those have been my only real issues growing this strain so far. Now just waiting for them to finish up, so I can enjoy my Cheese with a glass of wine.
