Good Dehumidifier that doesn't dump heat

Oh Ok its meant to run below 65F it says so theres that. Will it warm up the house? Roomies will be mad. My grow is always the blame lol. Will it heat up a room? A bit overkill for one room. I just think mini split is better I am alreaddy forgetting how hot it was, 90F.

I run mine only in my grow room, with the 18k minisplit I still require dehumidification to stay below 65-70%. I run a smaller dehumi in my dedicated flower room with a 9k minisplit if that helps and yes I require A/C to deal with the dehumi's heat. The climate control side of this hobby is expensive, oof.

If its just drilling holes and mounting stuff and fishing a power cord to a circuit that can handle it.. Maybe I can but every circuit is loaded, mostly by ME ! lol The veg tent, dehuey in dry room, using a 1200w rosin press.. Upstairs has flower you know everything thats needed there.. lol

I pay rent but the electric bill dont count because its all me lol. So Im paying like 80% of it. I feel bad for the enviorment this aint very good for it hopefully I can move and grow outdoor some day. I just would hate to deal with mold.

Top of the line for me is a aprilaire e100V , with fresh air damper kit. You can add an intake to it to bring outside air inside, in cycles per hour. If the air coming in is too humid it will turn on the dehu . I like aprilaire products alot but most growers I think prefer quest. They are more efficient when u put them as close to the ceiling as possible as well (better dehumidification when it's warmer)

These do dump a ton of heat, and a 80 pint would be even better but I'm not sure if they make that with that nice air kit.

You could also add air conditioning/heat pump to help negate the heat and give you full control. You need the dehu the most though then worry about heat, if growing under LED it can be 85 and be OK

This has peaked my interest for small area grows. Anyone have experience with these?

looks like a plain old standalone dehumidifier with a special adapter, then special controls to link it up to the resst of the spider farmer system. Cool product!

So I have one of these Spider Farmers coming in. And from reviews it seems like it will be very efficient at doing its intended purpose. Especially for a 4x2 tent. My conundrum, or reservation's on this unit, will it keep it's settings if plugged into a timer? I don't need something running 24/7, nor do I need to set it before I go to bed every night. I'd like to set it where I need it to be and then rely on the timer to turn it off and on automatically. Without changing any settings on the unit. Why so? My day time VPD is spot on.. it's the night time settings (or lights out schedule) is when the VPD goes off. Temps drop and humidity rises. I'd like this unit (via a timer) to automatically turn on when the lights go off. Without resetting any inputs made, That too much to ask?

Well... after a day of asking youtubers and Spider Farmer themselves... (Spider Farmer Support is lacking) Youtuber Eastern Grows answered my question and have confirmed that the unit will hold it's setting if and when plugged into an external timer...YES!

Ahh 6 months ago. So much has went down. Well turns out I didnt need a minisplit, a portable ac does juuuust fine. My only complaint is it spikes rh real high from time to time and idk why. I know cool air holds less moisture but it dont explain why its 35rh in the room now with ac on many times.

My dehueys whats weird is I thought they dump heat but when all lights are off it actually doesnt raise temps. Its a compounded effect I keep trying to describe. When lights heat up the dehuey just dumps 90F air out of it.

Anyway only other problem with my portable ac is I need dual hose so it uses outside air to cool the condenser coil. Where as now its just sucking air from my room straight outside to cool off. So I cant use it in summer when the home needs to be on to cool down the home. Exausti g out during that will raise home temps and everyone mad at me.

However when home ac is on its warmer in that room than the rest so will have to deal with 83F vs 75F but wont have those rh spikes. Which adds to the confusion as home ac dont spike rh but my portable will. What might explain is it boils condensate at the condenser coil known as auto drain. If it fills up it will just drain through drain hose.

Theres a exaust leak tho and think thats why it sometimes raises rh. Using portable ac with home ac while possible will be expensive tho Im already paying 200$ a month in electric. So Im making uae of this single hose for spring and fall when outside air too mild to cool down my room. Must be like 30F outside for that to work.

It works tho and been stoked to find a way to lower temps without a minisplit, I still dont know how that would work but wont be cheap to install. For sure need an electrician for that. Consider a portable ac! It flew over my head thinking they dont work but they sure do!
