Good idea to run my lights at night?

I'm wanting to fill up my shed (6x10) back up real soon.
I have plenty of lights/fans/whatever.

Temps in sacramento have been around 55-69 high and 40-49 low, this has been steady for a while. It'll prolly continue with these temperatures for many months.
I can run 2 1000's in there, have 2 light movers as well but im not sure if i have enough room in the shed to use the movers.

I'd have to keep my lights on at night to keep the shed from hitting anything under 55. I'm just not sure if an 8PM - 8AM or 10 p - 10 a on time will be enough to keep the shed at a necessary 75~ degrees daytime.

I would probably leave the bulbs in the reflectors but take off the glass. Obviously plenty of fans to try to get the head to circulate and keep the stems sturdy.

I also feel like I should have an intake fan just for as much fresh co2 i can get as i dont have a co2 generator. I could set up a 6" or even a 12" intake (or exhaust) on a speed controller to try to control temps a bit

Any advice from people experienced in running lights at night time?
You guys think the plants (9-12) could get vegged and flowered real fine and healthy with these kinds of temperatures? Will I be able to control the temperature in the shed?

burnn on:joint:

that is pretty cold man, and running your lights at night could be unsafe due to helicopters able to pick up heat, and if they see that much heat at night in a shed they def know whats up lol. try almost just using a space heater at night in there to keep temps up , make sure ur not burning ur plants or getting over 80 degrees. or just let them babys get a little purple and frostiness;)

I'm not worried about getting busted. Have had 5 successful outdoor harvests in this house and have run the shed a few times. Got a few prop 215 patients in the household so the police never did nothing but compliment us on our crop ;]

9-12 plants is safe for us, i really dont want to try to take 64 clones per light as its too much work to take care of that many little plants :P

I really do think running the bare bulbs at night will bring up temperatures significantly, unless i have a very powerful exhaust. im worried about not being able to get sufficient fresh air.

It does have a wallmounted ac, no heater though.

Anybody else think I'd need to bust out a heater?

Yeah nightime temps at 55 are a little bit scary though, fucktits ><
the strain (alaskanthunderfuck) has always been SUPER frosty. outshines any plant ive ever had before. would be weird seeing it purple up a bit as shes a very lime green usually. im definitely down to start vegging soon tho >=D prolly gonna pick up 3gal or possibly 5gal smart pots for them. roots organic soil, maybe ffof but im leaning torwards roots

55f....it gets that cold or colder everynight the last month or two of outdoor growing season here and ive grown in a basement where night temps went into the low 50's everynight. So I wouldnt worry about that.

+rep that gets a lot of the uncertainty out of my head. I'll get a feel for it once they start to veg, but i still have yet to take the cuts

I've also been messing with the idea of putting a 400w MH on a light rail in alongside the 2 1000 hps. Would help with head plus I've heard that plants with overlaying blue/red light will have significantly more resin/trichs than plants with just MH or just HPS.
That being said, ATF starts to glisten with trichs after 2 weeks of flower. I can only imagine how wonderful it could end up:eyesmoke:

brownbear, i was overjoyed when i got myself a cut.
it was a buddies of mine, and he didnt share it with nobody for years and years until he broke out of his shell.

Thin leaves, and it doesnt even need to be topped. It grows super bushy which is incredibly convenient. got the lime green color to the buds and shes sooo purtyy.

every winter my night temps get in the mid 50's, ive had no problems at all. lower temps are sposed to give you more compact buds anyway.

it wont add alot more resin or trichs from having a mixed spectrum(although its still a very good idea to have mixed spectrums), but mh does put out uv light which is supposed to increase the levels, the theory is that because thc/resin is broken down by uv light(they are pretty much the plants sunblock) and replenished during the night and its kind of like your muscles and how you break them down them to make them stronger when they heal.

Score! I was seriously starting to wonder if that strain was around anymore, that used to be the bomb digity back in the day, and I'm sure still is today. =)

Down here in LA they told us to let them know if the local kids try to rip us off. To protect and serve took on a whole new meaning.
