Good lights for cheap?. will these work?

That bulb also needs to accompany some sort of ballast.

anyone know of some cheap ballasts ?. they have 100w ones for $25, is that a good price?

Ballast you buy must match the bulb's power usage. So you can only use 100W bulbs with 100W ballast. FYI, 600W bulbs usually offer the best lumen/watt ratio

1000bulbs is the best site I've seen for ordering ballasts and bulbs. Definitely a good site.

By the way:

Medium base bulbs are the ones that are the standard fixture size for the kind of cheap sockets you could get at Home Depot. Mogul base are huge and you'll have to get special fixtures for those.
