Good Way to Slow Growth???

I have my second grow in a 4x2x4 cabinet and they are quickly outgrowing it as they wait to get on the main floor. (I only have 1 room, with a starter cabinet within it) My next generation needs to stay in the cabinet for at least 3 more weeks and they are already getting crowded and I wonder if there is a good systematic method and slowing them down a bit. (Already at 18 hour light and have kept them in smaller pots and I am using about 1/4 the nutes I usually do)

chop the plants in half, don't be afraid you won't hurt them, so long as they have time to recover before flowering it may actually increase yields and make the plants more manageable.

Appreciate the responses. As it happens...at about the 4 week point I did chop them in half and now at the 7 week point I LSTed and/or supercropped all of them. So we are on the same page there. I am probably going to top 1 more time.

Mike, they are under 2, 3ft, T5s. What's the least amount of light I could give them without having them turn to flower, ya figure???

I'd imagine you could easily get away with 16 hours of light 8 hours of dark. Possibly less if you're careful, but I would say you could do 16 without them fussing much.
