Don't you hate saying goodbye to a great mom or two? It almost breaks my heart to let 'em go, but new girls are already popped to replace the chernobyl and Ripped Bubba moms that were so good to me in 2013. Here's the baby pics:
Left to right are Somango [Soma], Melon Gum [ Dr Underground], and Cheese Dom [Freedom of Seeds] which is another go 'round on this - still loving the last one. The other three are the backups: Emerald Jack, Pineapple Skunk [Humboldt] and Kolossus [Sannie's]. Backups are set in 1 gallon dwc pails and flowered early [2-3 weeks] after the primaries are established w/ no problems. With so many beans piled up, the plan ahead is to run through a good amount of fems and stock as much variety in the cupboard as possible.
I know some folks have dropped Sour Tangie and other beans for the first time recently - so.....what's in your garden in 2014?
