Gorilla zkittlez, cookies kush

Been a while since my last update as I've been having problems in my garden but for learning purposes I think it's important to share the ugly as well as the beautiful so here's some pics...I have doubled the recommended strength of the general hydroponics 3 part nutes and the better looking plants seem to have responded positively. The autos are gonners I think, they don't seem to be getting any bigger and seem frozen in a stressed out state. They are now on week 13 and trichomes are still clear. The cookies kush and gorilla zkittlez have approx 2 weeks left before week 9 so there's time yet for them to pack on some bulk so there's hope of some success yet

Checked my trichomes and they're starting to get Amber's showing at flower week 9 so I'm hoping they're ready. Think I'll start the flushing process. The kolas are so long that there's quite a bit of bud at the lower part that haven't had as much light and are undeveloped. Think I'll try a part harvest and give the bottom half of the bud the chance to grow. I've never tried this before but I'm in no rush so if it works it'll be a bonus if not I can always use for edibles.

Total weight was 20oz dried which was a bit disappointing. Bud was good quality and dense. Noticed that my lights really only penetrate around 8-10 inches and any bud below that was only good for the trim bin. Next grow I'm going to try the sea of green method to see if I can get the numbers up

Nice job. I've found Cookie strains to not be the most productive also but some nice frosty nugs you have there. I flower under CMH's supported by LEDs along side. I find the UV section of the CMH spectrum really brings out the frost.

Hey orgro thanks for dropping by! Do you have any recommendations for more productive strains?... I've currently got clones of the cookies and zkittlez plus 3 new strains that I'm trying. Runtz muffin, do si do and Glookies...around my parts they sell "cali weed"... It comes in tins and is very pricey. When you look at it its hard as stone and has a smooth surface. Do you know how they are doing this?. Is it just well cured bud or is it some chemical they are using?. It doesn't look very natural to be honest but people are going crazy for it!.. I can't help but think I'm doing something wrong like I'm behind the times!

The Runtz Muffin, Do Si Do and Glookies, all from Barney's Farm I'm assuming, all look like they should be good producers with 700 gr/m² for the Do Si Do's up to 1000 gr/m² for the Runtz Muffin. All three strains have been on my radar lately, especially the Runtz Muffin at 1000 gr/m² and THC up to 29%. I was wanting to run the Runtz Muffin next round but unfortunately everyone seems to have sold out. Couldn't find it anywhere. So going to give a couple new strains from Delicious Seeds a try. Lord Kush, an indica advertised at 700 gr/m², 26% THC and Delicious Cookies, a 60% sativa at 600 gr/m², 24% THC. Again lower production on the Cookies but as long as it's a quality smoke I'm fine with that. I don't mind sacrificing weight for quality but of course, would love to have both.
Don't know about the "Cali Weed". The hard density may be from the genetics but the smooth surface sounds like a machine trim. I see the same thing around here with dispensary weed.

I've been pleased with Barney's Farm gear and their newest releases look awesome. The girls look nice and you definitely have a full house.
Speaking of crammed in ... Doing my first hydro grow, DRWC, and was not ready for the explosive growth rates. I have four girls filling a 3.5 ft X 10 ft cabinet. Five days into flower and I hope they stop their stretch soon.

Looking good mate could be a jungle in there! :p... I'd give my right arm for a big shed 5m x 5m but unfortunately we have to struggle with the space we have :(. Have you got a journal going I'll give you a follow?

I've been researching Triacontanol. It's a natural plant hormone or plant growth regulator, PGR. The natural PGRs are safe and effective. On the other hand synthetic PGR can be very effective but not so safe. This youtube video suggests that rock hard buds may be an indication of synthetic PGR use. Perhaps "It doesn't look very natural" because it isn't.
That's one reason to grow your own, so you know what's in it and on it.
