i have 2 Boxs that i went and built and put in my closet.. 1 is 3 feet wide... 4 feet tall.. and 22 inch deep.. that im using for flowering.. with a 400 watt hps.. aircooled light,. exhaust and intake fans.. and 8 cfls 2 on each side about a foot from the bottem all on a timer 12 n 12.. the other one is 4ft wide.. 4 feet tall .. and 2an half feet deep.. .. with 10 CFLs... for now. until i get my mh ballast back.. because i was using the 400 watt ballast with a conversion bulb and one 1 set up.. now i have a nice big veg room for seeds and clones.. and a room decent size to flower a couple at a time while the others vegg.. got another 4 bc purp seeds yesterday.. i have 1 widow 2 skunks females flowering now.. 4 seedlings 2 bc purps .. 1 bc mango.. 1 skunk,... going to do the other 4 bc purp seeds soon.. and taking widow clones tomaro night,., i think i can get about 9 or so off her and still get a huge yeid.. bought her off a friend that needed cash for 75 bucks.. she was 32inch tall and was a clone so is female..and my heat doesnt get up past 85 at all.. even wen its 100 outside.. .. humidty stays at around 50.. a couple carbon filters that are takin care of the smell now.. buttttt going to need something betterr soon gettin stinky.

Set up sounds nice and tight apart from maybe getting your temps down a bit lower for flower stage
85 -90 is fine for veg stage as long as its well humid ...but im guessing you knew that
Try now and get your temps down to an abbsolute low ready for flower stage ...it will pay you back if you put the work in now
You say you have a couple of filters ...but still have a smell ? ... you sure you have the optimum set up ?... one in a small space like that should be enough if your venting right
A couple of pics of your set up would be good ... somone here might spot where you can improve and reduce heat and smell with just a few tweaks

thats the thing.. i just got these 2 boxes built over the last.. month or so.. so im still working on perfecting the venting situation.. right now were i live its about 76-100 during the days.. nights get down to about 60 .. outside.. were my boxes are in my room.. min temp is 65 highest tem p recorded on my humidity and temp gadge is 92.. and that was wen my room was 90 degrees cause my ac was left off.. and it was 100 outside.. but wen it was 92.. the humidity was around 70% and wen it gets down to 65 the humidity gets down to about 35... i was using the 4x4x2.5 for veg.. and flowering.. now i got this new flowering box with a 400watt hps.. the temp stays around same as room .. so in the summer my budds will be a little fluffyy and in the winter they will be nice and dense.. the grow box i have been using.. is 4feet tall .. 4 feet widdeee.. 2.5 feet deep has like 12 30 watt cfls.. equaling around 20,000 lumens.. actually works out to a very nice veggg.. and im just waiting to get more money together.. i buy stuff every payday.. already spent about 1200 bucks.. and i got 3 plants flowering now.. with the cfls. and there dense and stinky as ever didnt start to smell till recently.. but i am growing stuff that i am paying 3 to 5 hundred an oz for .. so i will save money in the end.. i going to set up a nice aluminum vent system.. ngoing to be set up so it blows right underneath my window.. and i have a window fan to take it out.. its actualy going to work nicely.. cause i can put all sorts of filters and stuff right there near the window so it blows out and leaves a nice smell outside and not bud.. cause i have a cop that lives across the st so this is like 007 secret mission.. lol.. but to be honest.. im a former junky .. heroin is my drug of choice.. got on the methadone program started gettin my life back .. started smokin a lil pot.. now i got my own babys.. to tend and take care of and to keep me sober from hard drugs..
i have got 2 secret video cameras outside of my house watching my drive way.. and about 25-30 feet up the st... one in my room watching people that try to get in if any.. and if u break the door down instead of unlocking it.. i have a pretty nasty booby trap i cant talk about cause i dont need anyone to know so they can avoid it. but let it be known i have the setup so if someone trys to rob me .. they get very very injured.. hospitalized.. or maybe worse.. heheeh. but i dont like gettin robbed its happened a couple times so now i take my own measures.. cuz cops cant do shit.

That being said, your flower chamber is too short, and that HPS is too much wattage for that small space, which is why its gonna heat up hella when flowering.
I don't want to knock you down or anything...but if you intend to injure people like that, you're giving us growers a bad name. Using violence, guns, and shady tactics isn't cool man.
Also...no one cares about your booby traps and shit...i don't even see why you'd mention it, if you were a competent grower, youd not say anything about security. In my opinion, the best security is not talking about your operation, locking your doors, scrubbing your exhaust air, and acting normal.

it was a joke.. first.. second.. i know. that the box is to short. thats y the tops and sides that are facing eachother can come off.. so if need be i can easily slide them together.. and add some height.. i have another 2-4 feet i can go up.. and thats abhout it.. i got another fan today.. my vent system is actually alot more stable now.. temp wen on for over 10 hours stays below 87.. this is in 85-90 degree weather also..
