In Michigan, if my understanding is correct, you cannot take donations for your work from anyone other than your registered patients. Selling (doanting) to anyone else, even if they hold a card, is a patient to patient transfer which so far has been deemed illegal!

That's wrong, caregivers can get donations from any patient at this point in time. Will that change soon? Probably.

As I said, "if my understanding is correct"! I thought that the Appeals court ruling in August banned P to P tranfers, along with the dispensaries. If not, great, but I'll have to go back and take another look at the ruling!

Yes, but isn't the C to P just between you and your registered patients? Otherwise it's still just a P to P transfer! That is my understanding of it! A friends attorney felt that is how we should proceed with it until the Supreme court can clear it up....if thats possible???

The COA only ruled on CG's plant posessions and P2P transfers (for cash or something of value)
No guarantees on how each counties PA will enforce their personal opinions though.
The farmers market in Jackson is still operating with the approval of the PA there..
The COA can only make a ruling on something that is vague in the law, they can't change what is already written. It is very clear in the law that caregivers can be compensated for helping patients and it is worded in a way that goes beyond the 5 registered patients to them.
But the fact is, in a lot of counties you may still get arrested for anything related to MMJ, it will get thrown out in court, but you will still rack up attorney fees. Make sure you can afford one.

Maybe you could have the patient sign a change of caregiver form and then shred it after the transfer.

That to me makes no sense then! A dispensary is nothing more than an establishment in which P to P transfers are occuring, so why would it be any different for an individual doing the same thing?? Because they don't have some big storefront! How the F* would that make any difference? Why would a court not treat you as a dispensary if you were transferring to any patient holding a card? And apparently nothing of value can be exchanged for the CG's services! I think they all need to hit the pipe a little more, or perhaps for the first time!
I'm still sticking to just my own patients as I don't see it clear enough in the law to cover my ass in court.

This is correct, a caregiver in Michigan is only allowed compensation from HIS REGISTERED patients.

I agree with this too. most "patients" are abusing the system. The vast majority of card holders that I know, have no real medical condition that qualifies them for use. They just ponied up a couple hundred bucks to DR feelgood working out of a hotel room for their approval.
That however doesn't justify "care givers" helping them abuse the law.

So Count...do you have any idea of the quality of what you grow? Do you send it out for testing?

I do, because I trade strains with a few people and my stuff is always the better bud so far. Most people admit it and ask what I am doing, and some don't because they don't care as long as they are getting the better bud. No need for testing one hit can tell you so much about how it was grown, as well as looking at it.
Sorry not trying to participate in the "bigger cock" contest that usually transpires in these threads.

repeat customer's and not being able to keep up with demand speaks for itself,now if couldn't give it away then i would start lookin into clinical's.my "patient's" love me.
if you are a grower, why do you want or need my growing rights in the first place?
if you are willing to ask me to sign my rights over to you, you better be willing to pay. you obviously need me as much as i need you or you wouldn't need me.
