Got my 400W HPS/MH Conversion Today w/ pics

Well i'm at week 6 in my grow and i decided I needed a good light instead of CFL's. So i got a full 400W kit from HTGSupply.com. Grow guide is here... https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/137061-first-closet-cfl-grow-unknown.html


I was at about 15,000 lumens but now with the MH conversion bulb its over double at 38,000 so thats pretty sweet.

I am really happy with htg, i ordered it over the weekend and they shipped it on monday and it arrived on tuesday. They packaged it in double boxes with some padding inbetween and marked it fragile, they fit a lot of stuff into that little box.

wow man its like yesterday all over again for me. i got mine yesterday, but my convertion bulb looked just like my hps, but its mh. thats about the size of the setup i have. any problems with heat so far?

no it seems to be just fine so far but i've only had it turned on for a few hours

I totally love that lighter too, its got a built in bottle opener!

.... Is it aircooled or is it just the batwing hood? Love the remote ballast.

theres no fans or or vents in the hood, just a nice aluminum hood

Looks like the same ballast I have

My MH light looks like my HPS and your is fat LOL

Those ballasts, sound sweet. I was reading about them havin the components separated so they aren't as likely to burnup from the heat.

yea the ballast isnt that loud even. its less noise than my little fans.

Yeah my MH bulb is really fat compared to my HPS, i upgraded to agromax bulbs for both so maybe thats why its not like a few other people have gotten.
