got my card

ok so i got my card and have been doing research but am semi-confused
says i can have up to 2.5 ounces on me at all times..
also am able to grow - 12 mature plants / 12 immature
now when those 12 plants are finished, i am going to have a lot more then 2.5 ounces so how does this fit in with the rules i have to follow. very confused anyone know how this works?

what state are u in?
as far as overages, you can use the Affirmative Defense saying you need that much because you cook with it instead of smoking. Colorado/California had a case like that a few years back.

My overages are spoken for while they are still on the tree while weeks till harvest.

ALLOWABLE AMOUNTS OF MARIJUANA FOR PATIENTS AND CAREGIVERS UNDER STATE LAW

Rhode Island law authorizes a patient who has been issued a MMP identification card, or that patient's primary caregiver who has been identified on the patient's MMP identification card, to possess:

(a) No more than two and a half (2.5) ounces of a usable form of marijuana; and
(b) No more than twelve (12) mature marijuana plants (readily observable buds).
(c) No more than twelve (12) immature marijuana plants (no readily observable buds).

so you can have a rotating harvest of 12 plants.
12 in flower
12 in veg
and 2.5oz on your person or in your home.
and this is important
PER CAREGVIER/PATIENT

yes but im confused because i am starting my setup and i am going to start with just 12 plants once they get mature i will start off 12 more so that when the first 12 harvest the next 12 can flower... but once those first 12 harvest.. im expecting around 1-2ounces per plant im sure.. im going to be using a 600w hps/mh in a grow tent.
so if im going to be getting that much marijuana harvested off of each plant. im technically breaking that law.

yes you are but remember before you take that nice looking cola off hte stalk IT IS STILL A PLANT.
once you start to cure it in jars or whatever thats when you are vulnerable most.

Last month "we" gifted 5 oz's to a family..its called spreading the love. Find someone in "Need" but your local compassion club or dispensary can hook you up.

ahh interesting that is true.. keep it on the plant haha. lol... and we actually don't even have a compassion center here in RI yet they are planning on having the first one opened in 2011

Forget having 'to much' theres no such thing as to much bud.. The crazy part is.. To the right person 12 plants could equals 12+ pounds and your only limited to 2.5 onions.. To someone who knows how to grow they could easily bank more than a Quarter of a million dollars in Cash a year.. Literally..

yea thats what i dont understand what do they expect you to do with this?I would just have a few patients i know come over when i harvest and claim some meds right away and leave with there allowed amount,and try to get closer to my allowed weight.

You guys make me so proud. Finally some locals with heads on their shoulders. Here my deal since I don't like going to jail. I got 10 week sativa doninant strains going. I decided to work on a stall plan I'm gonna harvest one or 2 a day since my girl and roomate got the card well didvide up the drying buds and any extra have other friends hold and of course smoke some but. Ill never break the limit. Sure ill harvest a few a dayor 2 early or late bud ill never break the law. Drink guinness not shitty budwieser. Oh yeah u dudes ever need a hand hit me up so very impressed with the intellagence there

congrats on the card. RI is tough with only 2.5 of dried . More then that goes into my butter and tinctures. Anyway stagger it out. Start three a week for a month by the time the first ones are ready to get put in to flower you will be ready to start 3 more. Just keep cloneing before you switch to flower and you will always have medicine. Your growing for yourself so running out will never be an issue. Stay green and scratch the mud.
