Alright im interested in buying a pc grow box soil version for like 300$ included with shipping, from mrgrowpro. This is what you get with his kit:

http://www.mrgrowpro.net/whatyouwillreceive.htm

Now has anyone ordered from this guy or think this is a good deal. I thought it wasnt bad compared to some of the other pc grow sites. If you have purchased a pc grow box could you tell me what site you got it from please. Now i was wondering how good 6500k total light is for one plant? Would you go with more "k"? Howmany plants do you think i could grow with 6500k light?

Any response would be highly appreciated.

I have never grown in a PC case, an I would never spend that kind of money on one. You have so many options for a PC case grow, craigslist will probably have a pc case for cheap. Probably won't be the same size... that case is pretty huge as PC grows go. Most of them grows try to be "stealthy" an there is nothing stealthy about a huge-ass case like that and it is not even being used in a stealthy way. Sure to the average dumb-ass it would pass off, but to anyone that has a newer computer.... where are the lights an the big flashy window wit the lights inside. If your tryin to hide from parents/roommates... good luck! Hope that Ona block lasts.

Anyways thumbz that is just my opinion, if it suites your needs an is within your budget then go for it. I believe there is a a grow here at RIU that used/uses that case.

BTW 6500K is the color of the light that is being produced from the bulb, it is not the wattage or an indication of power/intensity!

See the different color hue on the wall behind the bulbs? That is what the K refers to, the 6500K is going to be a bit more blueish/white than the 5500K bulb is.

6500K - Veg cycle(most light on*)
2700K - Flower cycle(equal light on/off*)
*=typically

a PC grow would be cool. I'd try It out, but 300$ sounds better spent on weed than a grow box. if you get this, keep us updated

I mean its stealthier then a a gaint tub or random cabinet. And i agree it is vary big. I would just have it sit underneath my desk wouldnt even see the one wire that goes into the wall. Id tell everyone that its a broken oldschool computer i got from my grandma or something.

Anyways thanks for explaining the color difference that made things more clearer for sure. It says the bulbs have a total of 6400 lumens do think that would sustain a healthy plant in pc case? And if it does would you go with even more lumens?

thanks for the reply.

Ye i hear ya. It just comes with a good package and saves me the hassle of buying reflective sheeting, cfls , phone chargers for fans and magnets, and comes with fox farm soil and has nice features like a lock on the side. They way it opens up is awsome too. It opens like a cabinet.
