Prior problems / continuing : Mag / Cal Def.
Solution : Added Cal/Mag to the res.

NEW Problem.

New spots are starting to show, we did some trimming yesterday and got rid of dead fans on the bottom. I don't think its what causing the spots, but we are noticing a few moths coming out of the closet, so we will be applying Dont Bug Me after we get out of work while the lights are off. Assuming if left alone, they WILL become a problem if not already.. :wall:

Hate to keep at it, but really try to fix the issue before it gets worse, learning all these def. one by one. Day 32 Issues (4).jpgDay 32 Issues (3).jpgDay 32 Issues (1).jpgDay 32 Issues (2).jpgDay 32 Issues (5).jpg

Snipped some dead / bad leaves off #2 today, will poke around through the others after I get the light proof shit from the depot for our res.

what did the moths look like? inspect those leaves very close and maybe post a pic of the leaf under more natural lighting. precautionary spraying is a good idea if you are seeing moths. not common indoors but it can happen.

Yea, will def. Try and get a better photo for you. And I should spray either Way, just kinda silly not to. It was a light colored moth on the stalk yesterday, seen a smaller one this am. Will try to kill one amd get a photo also. Thanks for the input. The spots are real light colored for what it matter.

those spots almost look like it could be fungus gnats. idk though, need a pic of the underside. do you see any gnats flyin around from time to time?

grow a tobacco plant right by your weed no bugs will get in a five foot radius of your virgin because the tobacco plant is toxic

Honestly, I Cant say gnats, but what I always could have been something, I rule out as dust. Been checking for mites, but doesn't mean I couldn't of missed them.

do you have some sort of magnifying glass to look for mites? without one most people miss them. tobacco is susceptible to many of the same pests as cannabis, and some other really nasty ones. Be careful using tobacco tea, it can make you very sick if you get it on your skin. pyrethrin is a bit safer for you and the plants.

Yeah we looked for mites with the magnifying glass couldn't find anything, We'll have to double check again though, Looked a bit earlier without the magnifying glass, but that was just for the webs.

It looks like fungus gnats to me. Typical when nearing harvest. I wish i figured out a perfect solution, but they are a pain in the ass. Ive only had success using a combination of tricks
1. get a 3 oz doktor doom pyrethrin fogger
2. get a small bottle of azamax
3. Fill your pot or container with a 1/2 of sand to kill their habitat
4. use bug bomb
5. smear azamax on all visible plant matter except for the crowns of your buds
6. Cross your fingers and pray

heres a link to help with identification. its a pdf, and you want the second page. the first page is helpful too, but has nothin to do with insects.

and as far as fungus gnats go, i use dont bug me spray, yellow sticky traps and mosquito dunks in your res. repeat spray every 2-3 days replace mosquito dunks as necessary as well as sticky traps. the mosquito dunks i just use like a quarter of one per 5 gal bucket and replaced every res change.

Is that don't bug me supposed to be applied to the whole plant? Not going to effect smoke?

Thanks a bunch for the guide! +rep
