Government Shutdown, Who Gets The Blame?

A Civics lesson is in order here.... we have 3 branches.... The HR of the Legislative branch is responsible for passing a budget, regardless of what the Senate or the President tell them...

I agree they have no balls. But that is why they will shut it down. They will do what the tea baggers want them to do at all costs. They are all cowering in fear of the tea baggers.

The Republicans are bluffing.... they hope to push through a stop gap that funds for 10 more days... Democrats should resist and point out that they agreed to half of their cuts already, don't come up with new cuts to close up last years budget. They also need to remove the de-fund health care initiative rider.. Come tomorrow when they pitch a 10 day so they can all go home for the weekend, the Dems should resist and put the GOP ass on the fire....

Our economy is finally starting to show some steam.... GOP governors like Rick Scott of Florida are our problem, not our solution. He rejected 2.4 billion for high speed rails that was awarded during the previous administration. Republicans that reject stimulus or innovation or new renewable energy projects are really starting to piss me off. The GOP resists changes and advances in technology repeatedly, while Dems look to the future and care for all of our citizens, not just the wealthy ones.

I don't know man.... They originally wanted to cut 20 bil, the dems found and agreed on 10 bil to cut, not much, but they met them half way. Now the GOP are upping their demands and they attached several riders that will not pass, including one to de-fund the new health care plan. They are forcing the closing... they refuse to compromise and it's going to bite them... the 2006 GOP rebuke at the polls is going to look like child's play come 2012 when the GOP contenders are debating and tossing mud with the Donald and newly educated foreign affairs experts S. Palin. They are going to face a lot of resentment and wrath at the polls.... 2012 will be a good year to run as a democrat.

Dear God in Heaven I hope you're right... I just see post WW1 Germany everywhere. people are falling for it in droves. White Power is a fucking lie; i was a skinhead when i was 14-15 and didn't know any better and just thought it was about fighting and having working class pride which back then it was, white power didn't hit the american skinhead scene til much later than britain's. I grew up with a guy named Sean Christian Tarrant aka Hellbent and he founded a little group called the Confederate Hammer Skinheads, the Hammerskins started in Dallas, Texas. and unfortunately spread all over the "white" world. I've watched this shit happen on a smaller scale, now it's going national & frankly I'm worried.

we believe all States are propped up by the threat of violence and as such are unnecessary. Of course we favor the dismantling of the State, but first we must strenthen the State to reel in the corporate power, then we can work on the State. the "smaller government" the right is seeking is only smaller in it's humanitarian efforts. you don't care for a smaller military, do ya? double speak nazi propaganda.
