midwestfarmer Well-Known Member Jul 27, 2010 #2 grow bags are made from the mylar plastic (pand film). Most are white on side and black on the other to reflect light from getting to the root zone. I love em. Works great but not the easiest to handle.

Click to expand... Yes they can, try to get one thick enough light don't get through or double up . Best to use trashbags in the ground IMO
