grandaddy purp growers ???

ive got 15 of these pretty little ladies hideing out in the flower room been in there for about 7 weeks under a 1000hps. I've heard that gdp is a 9-10 week strain?? are you kiding? also when does the purple kick in? my stems were nice and purple for the first few month or so but now just real green. little help from people w/ experiance would be great thanks again RUI

let the temps drop as low as possable when the lights go out that will bring out some purp probably and dont worry it wont hurt them, ive even know this guy that puts a cooler thingy in there to bring it down to like 36 to 405 degrees at night. when i did it the undersides of all my leaves turned purple as well as close to the bud and the pink in my hairs got like three times as pink

yea i hear some are done in 8 some 10 weeks mine will be a 8-9weeker i had purple stems to but mines so bushy i cant even see if there still purple but im 36days into flower and there's not really any purp on the buds but the sweet leaves that grow out of the buds have a dark purplish tint to them..but my temps never go lower then 55 at night so that may be why there's not much purple

yeah my temps are never below about 60* I just dont knowif i should go like 9 or 10 weeks or chop at 8 I've heard some are 11 weeks.

your going to have the best luck if you be your own judge. Everyone has difference preferences of when they like to harvest their crop, some like their trichs a little bit amber or harvest early enough to when their still clear.....its all up to you...no one you can tell when YOUR plant is ready

yeah i know that but some strains take longer than others. some around 8 others up to 12 weeks. ijust wanted to know what the time frame was for the grandaddy purp?

start checking ur hairs and check out how fat ur buds have gotten in 8 or 9 weeks then start flushing if u think ur ready to harvest..my boy had 2 gdp's before and one got harvested in 9weeks and the other one was a stuborn bitch and took and extra 18days till he harvested

it really just depends on the cut you get. there are hundreds of different phenos of gdp, those with more urkle tend to be the 10 weekers while those with more big bud in them tend to be more like the 8-9 weekers. you just gotta wait n find out

so as of today i'm 7 weeks and 3 days the trichs are mostly clear w/ maybe 1/4 milky. is it going to take a few more days or weeks til I'm 1/2 &1/2 milky amber.

flo I flipped them at 18" they went crazy for about a month then settled down around 3 feet. I used a 1000 hps the whole way.

so they bout doubeld in size huh.. sounds about right. i have heard from 60% to 100% stretch.

and what does "purple" smell like

not all purple i have smelled, smells like grapes, i think that may be a little vague? or are you referring specifically to GDP?

GDP has a skunky smell to it..my grow room seriously smells like a damn skunk nest or den or whatever the hell they live in..real skunky tho
